I think it's pretty fair to say that no one wants to talk about Riven ( unless you're a Riven main of course)

However I can't help but find Riot's justification for the blatant disrespect and ignoring they've done of the champion to be flat out hypocritical.

They said that buffing her would make her too strong in other meta's and that they don't want to buff her just because she's weak in this one.

HELLO? Why did they buff Renekton and Irelia then? Even Olaf too? Is that not doing exactly what they said they wouldn't do? Take for instance Renekton, who arguably is an even harder lane bully than Riven, even when they were both in their primes, with an arguably lower skill cap. He was suffering from past nerfs and the current meta so they buffed him so he could do his job better and perform his role in the top lane. Buffed an out of meta champion to make them better in the current meta, and guess what? When the tank meta ends Renekton is likely going to become a terror, seeing how he preys on the same targets that a champ like Riven does.

So what is up with that? How exactly is it right for them to do the exact thing for other champions that they said they wouldn't do for Riven, especially champs that more or less perform or can perform similar roles, not even keeping in mind skill cap.

The state they've left Riven in is Horrendous and needs to be addressed. Right now a champ that is supposed to be high risk high reward is just high risk low reward.
