So, is Sol weak, or am I just bad with him?

Seems like, early game, Sol just has zero damage outside of his Q, and his passive that he revolves around does, ultimately, nothing. If you have R and Q you can usually kill someone, but your passive or W just don't have any kind of damage. Late game his W actually chunks a good portion of health, but you die so fucking fast because of AA spam and targeted nukes, that you just can't even land more than one star before you die.

Is it just me, or is Sol kind of weak (outside of the Q+R+W combo)?

Personally, I think he has a fairly weak laning phase:

It's difficult to cs with him. This way or may not be a learning curve thing
He gets harassed easy while trying to get his non-W passive to hit minions
Lack of counter harass. If you miss your slow, linear Q guess which A Sol is screwed?

Once you hit 6 and start getting into mid game though...god damn that damage is insane. Even when he's behind he can straight up nuke single targets without them even having a chance to Flash.

I wouldn't call him weak as a champion. However, the current meta is everyone and their dog has a dash/blink, so he's difficult to play around that, and very niche in my opinion.

In the current meta I think he doesn't have good kill chances on a lot of mids.

But he can push lane hard then roam for ganks I'd think.

I'd suggest worrying more about farm and looking for chances to ganks and just get built up for team fights, as opposed to looking for kills in lane right now (unless you get a good lane)
