I've used Poachers knife twice now

How come nobody chooses this item? The amount of gold you get is crazy.

First time was with Nunu jungle and after my first back (to get the poachers knife) every back after that was a full item. First I was able to fully buy RoA (and mobi boots) then I got frozen heart visage then liandries I always had so much gold when I backed.

Second time was with Udyr. I did the normal jungle route then killed a shen jungle that was soloing drag and took it myself. After that I went back and got poachers knife and cinderhulk item. I didn't go B for the rest of the game because we were so ahead. The enemy shen was so underleveled/outfarmed it's crazy. I ended the game with 7k unspent gold that's pretty impressive for me considering I had that much at the 20minute mark.

I don't get why people dont use it more often you get loaded with gold and it motivates people to counter jungle which nobody in my games seems to do..ever
