Literally the last 3 games someone took my role by force.

How can this possibly be fair. Of course I lose, I'm instantly tilted because someone took my role by force. and I'm expected to dodge?

Reporting them does nothing because pre game isn't recorded

It's just monkeys who think "Oh he's top and doesn't want to trade? MINE NOW BITCH"

pre-game actually is important. if you report someone and dictate within the report that it happened in champ select, it DOES get looked in to and if they have enough citations against them, THEY ARE PUNISHED.

I find that to be rather sad, to be honest. Player interaction BEGINS at champion select, there should be no reason that a report for a negative experience with another player during the pre-game should have to be specifically requested.

i usually just shut down the game and find something better to do when this happens.

ive been playing 6 years at this point i have no problem letting that round go to shit for them. that said teambuilder would solve all of these problems and let people play the champ and position they actually want.

bring back old team builder, let us pick a lane, a champ and an enemy team ban. boom everyone gets what they want even if they have to wait a little while for it.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Team builder will still gather a team of totally random people who, when the game starts, can still not do what they said they'll do.

Sometimes it's more fun to troll them back and just go duo top and steal cs at all costs. Usually when they do that they'll dodge the lobby anyway at the last second.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

That's an easy way to get in trouble. I dunno.

420 grams1 votes

In trouble for what?

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

For trolling. Reverse trolling is still trolling.

I don't know.

420 grams1 votes

I guess trolling was a bad word choice as its more of not giving into trolls and bullies that do that.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Use the report button at the end of the game.

420 grams1 votes

Eh, that was very weak results. It's not worth it to me personally to play a different role than the one I called or was given. I'd rather just take the loss and play it out than reward that kind of behavior

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Report them so they can't continue their behavior.

420 grams1 votes

I haven't had very much success with reporting.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Because you don't see the message? You can ask people at the Player Behavior & Moderation forum about that, but the common belief is that only the last person to issue a report gets the message if the report was successful.

If you're seeing the same person in multiple games causing the same issues then I don't know but I have some faith in the report system.

Well, reason I don't is because I reported someone who used many racial slurs and was a bully entire game, and I thought that should be an instant ban. But apparently not and they have a tolerance for racism, so why wouldn't they for someone who just was a douche and took your lane?

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

I would still report it if it's report worthy.

You won't get in trouble. As long as you aren't super salty in chat about it, you should be fine.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

I don't trust it.

I'm confused as to how they took your role by force...did they pick first and say "too bad I've got mid/top/etc"? I wouldn't change a damn thing about my intended pick if I were in that situation. I'd say "tough shit, I'm picking my champ and now you're stuck with an off-meta pick", then proceed to do whatever role I got from the matchmaking system.

What are they going to do, report you for playing the role that the game assigned you? Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, get that stiff upper lip and do what you were meant to do. You only get bullied into taking a different role if you let yourself.

When they see that you're not playing by their bully rules, they'll either deal with it or dodge. My bet is that they'll dodge.

How did they take it by force? You queued ADC and they picked an ADC and went bot? Report them.

Does nothing. Pre game isn't recorded.

Proof or it didn't happen.

Pre game is recorded though....

Alternatively, Riot could choose not to be fucking stupid and punish players who don't want to play with an elo terrorist by making the dodge penalties more forgiving.

The very idea that a player should lose 15 LP because you have someone openly trolling in champion select or lose even more LP as well as twenty minutes of your life is the most ridiculously stupid and toxic thing ever.

"Oh but then people will dodge if they don't like their team comps", fucking so? I shouldn't have to deal with my team picking a CC-less comp into Katarina and Master Yi either if I am playing ADC (just as an example, I don't actually play ADC) either. Most players are so dumb that they don't even know what a good team comp is so this shit won't even matter, especially when you consider how so many people play with pre-mades now.

Make the time penalty more harsh if you want, but remove the LP penalty.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

I don't dodge queues because there's zero guarantee the next queue will be better.

Yeah a reduced penalty would be nice, but there's still no guarantee.

No, you don't dodge queues because Riot knocks 15 LP off if you do it twice, for a total of 18.

If there was no LP penalty you wouldn't play a fucking game with a trolling Master Yi support with cleanse and ghost. You would have to be insane to justify playing a 20 minute game of trolling over taking three minutes out of your day to watch a youtube video, play another game, or make yourself a snack to eat.

Gary B Enkelis1 votes

Yes, I don't dodge queues because of the penalty. You are correct. But also I don't dodge queues, like I said originally, because there is no guarantee the next queue will be better. I could end up endlessly dodging queues waiting for the one queue I like, if there was no penalty, and it still may never happen.

I've done this rolling dice for character stats in roleplaying games. It takes forever.

I'll play a game with summoner 6 summoner 13 MasterYi Support. Screw it. I want to play not wait. Maybe I'll be surprised.

You can still screenshot the chat and send it in to player support. They'll file it; won't tell you the outcome of any investigation though.

Reporting them actually does do something, especially if you get them to say something about it in game chat.
