The fact is, if shaclone or tyler1 inted like meteos just did, they would have got another permaban

For those who dont know, meteos played while drunk on new years and inted in a game session (around 5 games) with scores like 1-27-5 and such.

Guess what, not even a warning for him xD

Apparently, an extensive history of the negative behaviour affords you less leniency.

Shocking.

So its alright to int a few times if you have never done it before? Or is it alright to int if you are on an LCS team?

Wheres his 14 day ban then for the first offense?

Its never alright to int and much less play a ranked game while drunk.

While doing so is a bad decision, it isn't that different than playing while knowing you are exhausted or tilted.

Your performance is going to be sub-optimal (though to different degrees) and you are queuing up while knowing that is the case.

Obviously he is not going to get banned for playing like shit or even for being a shitbag in a game once in a while.

you don't get a 14 day ban for a "first offense". you get it for "your first month of constantly offending".

That itself is the problem and part of the reason for the perpetual viscous cycle of toxicity that has existed in this game for 7 years...

Toxic acts go unpunished and become acceptable actions. Apparently we've come soooooo far that a pro player intentionally and deliberately ruining games is something people sweep under the rug?

He should be perma'd on the spot for this. Banned from pro play for a year. And fined at least 5 grand. To do anything less is to encourage other players to follow his lead and commit toxic actions for "fun", which of course is the direction riot almost always takes and thus, league is, has been, and always will be, the least enjoyable gaming experience it's possible to have in an online setting.

cut the bullshit what you're setting up draconian system where every little thing is bannable. Next i'll pick a support you don't like or have a play style you don't like and you'll go "ban this guy for trolling my game".

everybody has bad games. For a myriad of reasons. Playing sloshed for an evening is no reason to get banned. The problem is not the person who is annoying once in a while it is the person who is annoying consistently.

Sorry mate, 99% of the community is in agreement here, intentionally and deliberately ruining games is the worst offense a player can commit and one CLEARLY committed by meteos in that run.

No question about it that should be a ban for a normal person.

For a pro player who is a face of the game the consequences should by 10x as harsh. Indefinite suspension, pro play ban for 1 year, 5 grand fine for breaking the code of conduct.

To do anything less is to encourage the draconian toxic system that is currently in place and been functioning in a manner that encourages toxicity for several years.

No, the punishments I lay out are what should happen.

They won't, but only because riot is a morally bankrupt company.

Walks like duck?

Quacks like duck?

It's a duck.

Not a puppy.

Facts are facts mate, and riot has proven, unequivocally, beyond a shadow of any possible doubt, time and again, that this is a company without a sense of morality.

Kinda hard to be on a high horse when all I've stated are facts and truths. That's called being a realist.

You may be right but it's hard for a company to perma ban all of the popular LoL players without looking really terrible, so contradictions have to begin at some point.

Shaclone and Tyler1 have a long history of inting and being toxic.

Meteos, by comparison, does not.

With that said, I've had nuked his account from orbit with literally zero hesitation.

Still feeds less than when he plays lee sin. He will probably get some form of punishment but a permaban is a bit much.

Nøble1 votes

People keep saying he inted, which is not correct considered he was just inebriated and was making terrible decisios. Sure he was feeding, but that also isn't punishable. The only thing he did which he really can be discredited for is drinking heavily while playing ranked, which I'm not really sure if that is even worth introducing a punishment for considering that countless people play league while they are intoxicated and riot has no idea, regardless of how well they do in game. Maybe if he was still on a LCS team a suspension from pro play might be warranted, but considering he is a basically a free agent and a streamer he doesn't really have to uphold and corporate reputations. If he gets a ban of any sort In game I think that would be pretty unwarrented.

If he was in my game I would have reported him for inting. Why do I have to lose lp because you want to drink?
