Yasuo Is Banned Almost Every Game

Regardless of your ELO, or the reason behind banning him, Yasuo's banrate is absurdly high, despite not really being meta. The reason for this is the universal hatred for his Kit. It kind of sucks cause i have a friend who's a yasuo main and he can't play him after buying the new skin because he's banned, constantly.

Riot, this is where you come in, sometimes a champion is really unfun to play against, with 10 bans implemented these champions will become unplayable. Regardless of whether the champion is Meta or not, this means as the creator's of the champions, you should fix what's making people hate them or at the very least alleviate it.

I know some don't want Yasuo to be changed but at this point it's the only way he'll become playable again.

Edit: I have some ideas on how to do this, but i'm not a yasuo main so i don't want to suggest any changes to the champion.

Yeah, that's not news. He's balanced, that's all he really needs to be. And really, there's a hater for every champion out there. Are you shocked that the maximum weeaboo samurai-sama with Japanese lines voiced by a high profile actor with a well-spread and adaptable kit gets more attention than, say, Urgot?

Popularity skews things. Let's not let it screw them up, too.

The only fix Yasuo needs:

Windwall no longer DELETES abilities that strike it. Abilities will now detonate upon coming in contact with windwall.

No longer will things like Saplings be deleted, Gragas barrels removed off the face of the earth, or Jinx Ults fizzing out in an anti climatic wiff.

not good enough. Still leaves a LOT of mages high and dry because they can't teamfight worth a damn while the wall is up, and the fight is decided before it comes down.

The only way I stop banning yasuo is if they fix his windwall with a significantly reduced duration, MAYBE 2 seconds, limit the damage absorption potential, seriously reduce it's size, and/or replace it entirely.

I couldn't even care less about the rest of his kit.

What if, and bear with me here, his windwall was on a shorter cooldown BUT played like his dash. (Does that make sense?)

So a projectile is coming towards him he can cast Windwall, he slashes the air and blocks the spell, but no wall is left. He would need to time the slash perfectly. Too early and it would still hit.

That would satisfy me. Still terribly annoying, but at least I'd be able to do my job at all. They would probably need to be careful with making the cool down TOO low though. Last thing yasuo needs is the next playful/trickster. 15 second cooldown sounds reasonable to me; could even give it a short duration similar to malzahar's passive spellshield (which stays active for a brief time after getting activated)

rofl you're acting as if riot doesn't know that yasuo (as well as other champions) have high banrates and aren't planning to do anything about it.

we get it, people in low elo don't like his kit

we get it, he snowballs

we get it, he can come back and oneshot you if you dont pay attention to him

stop beating a dead horse, and instead learn how to deal with the champion until riot fixes him in order to better your play

That's what we've been fighting for . A free , clean , non-toxic , Yasuo-free Summoner's Rift .

Everytime i see a yasuo related post , i always fill up my "Yasuo mains tears" cup

i honestly dont get why yasuo is banned in 200% of my games, id rather face him in top lane than fiora, its pretty easy to tell where hes guna dash to if you play a few games as him. believe it or not, he has limitations

Trashball1 votes

Because he's pretty awful to play against as a LOT of different midlaners. He's not nearly as bad for most melee champs I'd imagine.

reaperteaser1 votes

fair enough, i always play garen into him so im not troubled much by it, the silence really screws his trading potential and stops him from dashing away from the spin

Depends how you are playing midlane. If you respect his powerspikes, and abuse your own, you can beat yasuo with nearly any meta midlaner.

blind pick Yasuo vs Yasuo FIGHT!

Personal preferences:

If need be, add power elsewhere in his kit in compensation.

You can create a custom game too. ^^ I don't know, I am just trying to find solutions.

I know it's sucks. It's only popular right now. One day, they will find another champion to ban all the time. Trust me. XD

P.S. : Sorry about mistakes in english.

He's not balanced. Its absurd to even consider him balanced. He's not dominate either. But his kit is toxic. And all the bads that play him and think he's balanced (see above comments) are why he is banned....not because he's op.

And yeah, it is absolutely insulting and greedy that Riot would come out with this skin before they reworked him. They know his ban rate and know the toxicty this champion breeds right now...

I want Yasuo to be a good champ too...that skin is badass and he's one of the coolest champs in the game...but the bottom line is his kit is toxic and overloaded and makes it way to safe to play aggressive with...causing him to snowball or feed if unsuccessful. That's why everyone is banning him.

i have said this a milion times yasuo is a shotgun introduced in a game of pistols making him a 5mm shotgun does not make him a pistol. riot keeps yasuo at a low winrate by nerfing his numbers but that doesnt make him the same as the rest of the champions in league of legends. what yasuo needs is parts of his kit removed or be forced o require a condition. Until then riot can pretend reworking him or balancing him but the voice of the community will be clear,60% banrate since the day he was released.
