Nidalee changes,

over the past few patches we have had some changes to jugnle nid. now I'm not saying those are for the better or for the worse at higher elo. i cant comment on that

however riot has stated that they are trying to lower nid's power at higher elos where no one will agure she is definitely top tier jugnler YET (and here is the key point) trying to keep her playable at lower tier jungle. and well as trying to re-added some of her old roles back.

and the portion of these changes supposedly NOT affecting her lower elo players is what i currently have an issue with. because that is just a blatantly false in low elo we don't HAVE the mechanics to kite perfectly and the root is what made nidalee able to do a full clear. the changes to nid in my elo are HUGE.

whether or not these changes fixed higher elo play i dont know.. i just know that they did NOT meet the other requirement of "not drastically hurting lower elo play"

now as a nidalee main since the day i started playing in season 3. i have seen every iteration of nidalee from that point.

now jungle nidalee is STILL possible to do at lower elo with the current nerfs.

however it is now tremendously harder to do clears lvl 1-3 and its almost impossible to gank until after you back..

i used to be able to do a full leashless clear on nidalee before the removal of her root. (this is silver elo) now i need a leash and i still need to back after lvl 3 and sometimes i still get executed on the third mob.

now obviously my skill level hasn't gotten worse. and maybe i just need to adapt to the new changes.

but if the idea behind the removal of the root was to lower her pressure in high elos but not hurt her lower elo play... then i have to say that has failed. i cant comment on what this change did at high elos.. but it certainly made it MUCH harder to player her in lower elos

then we come to the issue of re-adding nidalee's old roles back.

currently the biggest culprit preventing this from happening is the state of her traps. after % hp was removed they became worthless vs player. (which even with % HP had to be dumb enough to STEP on the trap)

which now that they don't even root jungle camps.. are effectively the most worthless skill in the entire game. and until something is done to her traps. she will NEVER be able to lane again. there is no avoiding this riot, her traps NEED to be fixed.

during the PBE cycle her root was removed from her spear but kept on her traps.

without a pbe account i was never able to test this. but i feel if we at least got the root back on the traps it would allow her to jungler in lower elos again.

again i cant comment on higher elos.. but if the goal was to hurt her higher elo WITHOUT effecting her lower elos too harshly.. THAT has failed. he lower elo has certainly be HUGELY affected.
