Taliyah Support That's where its at man

I keep a bottle of bourbon nearby so that whenever someone tries to do this I can cope.

Actually, looking at data we all have atm, top lane seems to be her best bet, with support in a close second.

However, there's an extremely small sample size of anything over 1-5 games, so its all pretty inconclusive. We'd have to wait another month or so to accurately gauge where she's at.

Buffs are what she's likely gonna get cause Riot wants people to play this new champ (I'm so let down by her I don't even wanna read the new lore ..)

What she NEEDS is a rework to tie her kit together cause as it stands it's just a clunky patch work of ideas with no back bone connecting it imo.

it totally needs a rework. It was a bad design and its clunky beyond belief

Rework? For the love of, she JUST came out. What she needs are some buffs (maybe the 6.11 buffs were enough or maybe not) & players to put more than one game into her & that's it. I mean Bard was weak on release, but after several buffs AND players learning how to play him, both mechanically & strategically, he came up to a decent win rate. Give her some time before you write her off as "Needs a Rework".

That's because, like Ali, Gragas, etc in the past (not currently), she is not a straightforward champion, especially due to her ult not dealing damage.

You can't just mash buttons buttons and win. You have to play consistently and make accurate decisions/plays, which the majority of players cannot do. When Ali and Grag were two of the best champs in the game (Ali support, not the broken mid/jungle shenanigans), they both had a sub-40% win-rate.

Take a look at Azir too. He's even got the advantage of being straightforward overall.

Thats true but even people with very high playrates on taliyah have low win rates. (except for that one time when they have a 98% win rate. Fucking what?)

Ali and gragas were both played commonly during that time as well. They were pick/ban, even if they performed poorly on average.

Some players being bad at a champ and dragging down win rate doesn't necessarily means it is a bad champ. If you notice, there's basically a 'mountain' that starts at 15-50 games played for almost every position.

The issue is that too many people have too few games on her at the moment. Considering she's not very straightforward, its going to take a month or so to really gauge where she's at, since we can't accurately see what data supports from 15 games and above. Something around 75% or greater of the games she's played in have her in the hands of someone that has played her less than 5 times. You can't make assumptions off of that.

Unfortunately, she has to sit where she is for a little while.

She's probably getting a buff soon. I think Riot released her weaker than intended because she is a high skill cap champ. Don't take that link's win rate too seriously. Again as I mention, Taliyah is a high skill cap champ. I think you should take data from only Plat and above where players can consistently start backing up mechanics. Well. Some at least. She sits at 40% win rate there which isn't that much better TBH. It's still very low. But she isn't like picking up some of the recent champs in the spotlight that are very easy to play. Her kit is a bit difficult playing against mechanically talented players. I imagine there will be some kind of buffs to her Q and maybe her base stats? Not sure. I honestly feel we should give Taliyah a little more time for people to get to know too. I mean remember other champs that were also bad on release like Lucian. Look at him now. Riot will be sure to give her a buff sooner or later as she is new and her kit is fresh/fun to play.

I think she needs some buffs, minor QOL buffs and a couple damage increases

You have to combo her W with her other abilities, but landing it is impossible for most league players...

Marshbouy1 votes

its a clunky ability and a tiny hitbox. Maybe some taliyah gods can get a 5 man knockup in the future. Oh god do i fear that day.

Eevee In A Jar1 votes

I dunno IMO it's pretty simple to land. Her W is basically a better version of Nami Q. It's bigger too and you can direct the knockup combo-ing it into your E and Q. I've done it plenty of times at the plat level. The ability is not clunky but I use smart cast so I dunno. Her W is going to be hard to land no matter what though as it isn't hard to dodge. I mean if her W is hard to dodge, people would be complaining about Cho Ruptures.

You can also use the knock up to fling the enemy to one side of the wall as you're casting it, blocking their way after you knocked them to one side. She's a utility based champion. She's no carry at the moment. She also late game.

smart cast is what does it for you. Without smart cast its cancer
