Whats the point of all the AP scaling in MF Kit?

I did some maths and full AD armor pen MF ult can do over 6000 damage with the following build.

On the otherhand, if MF had 900 AP(Which is hard to get nowadays), her ult will do a measly 3200 physical damage. Not only is the damage way less, but she has no access to armor pen.

So can anyone tell me the reason she has any AP scaling at all, because, it seems rather useless. Before I felt she had access to slow, but with Rylies nerf, there is really no point in AP MF. It is not even close to how viable AD MF is.

So what the point of the AP scaling?

I saw somewhere it's because a lot of the older kits in the game have a lot of dual scalings on their abilities.

And normally AP MF is about the E cheese since it does a shitload of damage and it's easy to hit.

It's simple a way to gate damage. By putting some AD and slight AP scalings(and vice versa) on certain kits, it gives certain spells niche utility without being overbearing, therefore toning back unneeded power on a champ.

Yea I get that, AD MF could have access some utility from AP item such as Rylies, but that about the only ap item AD Mf would want to access. Since its nerf, if rather pointless. There aren't many AP items AD mf would want for utility.

No, what I meant by that was the fact that you shouldn't be building AP unless you're going full AP MF anyways. But there's only 1 or 2 spells in MF's kit that has AP scaling, and I don't think it's all that much anyways.

It gates damage because it requires a different build to access that damage. That's what I meant.

Scaling ad runes and ap runes are your friend as well as getting hextech

Lich bane procs off her q also I would get lIan drys aND rylais .armor pent is not that good on her due to her having like the lowest ad base in the game. You'll never get the passive on disk lade off . The 2 15 lethality items should stack since there passives are both unique and are @15 .
