Have Riot even considered laning/playing against mages without hexdrinker/maw?

Friend haven't you heard.

Don't ever even try to say that mages could possibly be strong on the boards! Always remember they're super weak and all melee's ever beat them in every situation ;)

No mages aren't balanced until they can aoe cc the entire enemy team, peel, aoe damage and oneshot a squishy. THat's when mages are balanced. Also yasuo has to be trash too because... it's simply impossible to play around his kit! All yasuo players are fakers! They all are perfect and never make mistakes people can abuse.

Alright I'm ready for the Riot pre season mage update, I'm sure with all the boards enthusiasm they'll scrap all the work they've done for the assassin class because mages are clearly in such a terrible spot. /s

Of course, but remember to QQ about yasuo first. First things first guys. We don't nerf champions for balance, but because people in my elo refuse to play around them. Better nerf aatrox now.
