Sad to say this, but the Akali is a rework failure
She is trash in low/ mid elo but still a priority pick in pro play. Even Professor Akali said that she deserves more nerfs in his last video.

Akali’s kit is not balanceable. You cannot give a champion 100% control over the lane and expect it to be balanced.
When you physically cannot fuck up hard enough to be punished on a champion it’s a problem.
Also. EVERY one of her abilities can be used as an escape tool. So even if she gets caught out, 99/100 she is going to get away.
Plus it’s a certainlyT champion. Everything this guy touches needs to be heavily monitored or else it’s just going to be some overloaded garbage fire champion that no one ever wants to fucking deal with. I mean seriously. The only interesting champions to come out of this guy were warwic and thresh.
imagine using professor akali wanting her nerfed as a reason for her being a failure.
Ummm how does that mean it's failed???? Like she has counter play, a bigger player base and riot can actually do changes to her without breaking the champion.
Her being bad in low elo means nothing at all.
as far as i'm concerned akali isn't even a champion currently :/ revert her back to that patch before her ultimate stun got removed.
I miss old akali so much. when she actally had a personality and fit her lore. being a bratty %%%% isnt a personality
high skillcap champions should not in any form or shape, balanced around low/mid elo
the boards never change, crying and wanting everything balanced around their elo, which is why we end up with 
being broken for 2 years because "lolol she only has 47% win rate!!"
Wouldn’t say it was a complete failure.
Akali's kit is a mishmash of bruiser and assassin.
Her passive and Q scream bruiser DPS and her ult screams assassin.
akali deserves nerfs as long as she has less counterplay in the top lane than old pantheon did.
akali would be fine she had more counterplay built into her kit. instant q that may as well be point and click, shroud that forces you to back up, slow on q, passive movement speed, a recastable dash, and 2 lane long dashes on her ultimate is just too hard to keep pace with. What Akali needs are adjustments to the speed of her spells. If Q were slower, it could actually be dodged, and you'd be able to punish her usage of W if there a delay after it were casted. If high elo thrives on punishing errors, the obvious solution is to make Akali punishable/unreliable then compensate her with number buffs.
