The Jungler is way too influential in League of Legends

There's no explanation needed. It's too influential. The role requires that you basically win everyone's lane and it has made lane interaction so boring and uninteresting. It's basically this: play like a bitch and wait for your jungler to gank. Trying to actually take things into your own hand and win lane on your own is too dangerous, it just opens you up to being ganked.

I'm really not enjoying the landing experience right now and I haven't in a long time.

I don't pretend to have answers either but something needs to be done to curve the junglers power, especially in the first 10 minutes.

It's just some junglers who are way off the balance scale whether be it innate power budget or that they work too well in today's jungle/items.

Most junglers are still being stuck getting gang-raped by that chicken camp and having some issues with the twin-cancers.

The difference in power between junglers is immense right now. There's a few junglers who are utterly absurd but the majority are near unplayable. The problem isn't the role, it's a few problem champions in it. Because Riot has been acting like the jungle role is a problem and not champions within it the majority of junglers struggle to have an impact.

The problem with the jungle is that Riot refuses to treat Lee Sin/Hecarim/Vi as problems. They tuned the role around these champions and now trying to play any other champ means you have almost no impact.

The solution is to reduce jungle spawn times somewhat, tune the EXP reasonably and nerf problematic outliers, almost definitely Lee Sin rather than acting like the entire role is oppressive.

They could bring back AFK farming by putting the camp timers back to normal instead of the BS it is now.

Do you know why the jungler is always ganking? It's because his camps take forever to respawn. He has nothing better to do.

I know people didn't like the "AFK farm and then come out of the jungler and win the game" meta... But at least in that meta you could win your lane on your own? And if you were good, then you just go kill the jungler and prevent that catastrophe from happening.

EDIT: also camps are way too strong right now. I could kill a couple camps and lose half my hp bar..... Or I could ignore my camps, kill someone in a lane, and then tax the lane and take turret. The latter option is more appealing.

It's not the jungle in itself, it's just overpowered junglers. LeeSin Zac Graves Hecarim Olaf Udyr Vi

double the number of camps in the jungle and make it require twice as much to reach the same level as they do now

Do you think the jungle XP nerf helped?

lol I love how you had to specify 'in League of Legends' in the gameplay board of the league of legends site

Yeah, Jungle and Midlane have always been incredibly impactful, but right now Jungle is absurd. They really don't have to make a choice between farming and ganking, they can just gank all the time while being nicely farmed and high level.

That has been going on since season 5 (dunno what happened before that) in high elo. It's no surprise seeing more and more early game junglers than late game ones as you climb.

This has actually been an issue since about season 2. The truth is this: it's impossible to fix. The map in this game is too small and it's too easy to path from clearing the jungle to pounding some poor sap in lane. Riot has a few options to try and change the way the jungle works, but it can't be "balanced". It needs to be reworked completely in a way they will likely never agree to. Essentially, I think that the camps should give a lot more gold, WAY less experience, and beat you to hell. Force the "jungler" (a stupid role in the first place and I say this as a jungle main) to lane. You can't have a champion in fog for the first 15 minutes and expect that to work in a balanced, non-frustrating way.

Whether you win your lane or not, doesnt depend on you, but on your jungler. Actual fact. You cant do nothing to win your lane, if the other jungler is better than yours, you lose your lane, if your jungler is better, then you win your lane. No more options, you are irrelevant in your lane.
