Flex is a completely different queue with a different mmr. I dont think it factors your Solo/Duo Ranked mmr, It is kinda like how Ranked 5s worked. The fresh start on its MMR means you are going to be facing a lot of people you don't want to be facing.

Ranked Flex is old Dynamic Queue in new name. They removed Normal Draft because "game health", "too few people played Normal Draft" and separating the player population in "too many queues had a detrimental effect on player experience" - meaning, if Normal Draft was still around, too few people would play Dynamic Queue under its new name, and that would be bad PR for Dynamic Queue.

According to Riot, actual Solo Ranked Queue is going to be available Later(TM), but they werent sure when (but sometime this patch).

Meaning, if you want to play, you either play Ranked games, or you play Blind Pick. That's what you have to chose between, unless you play ARAM or TT.

May I suggest HotS? It's a not-so-fun-MOBA, but it sure is a helluva lot more fun than "New League". I'm going to log in a few times myself during the next week or so, and unless Normal Draft is re-enabled, I'm going to keep myself to Dark Souls-franchise and HotS.
