Future's Market is not very good.

There are 2 massive problems with this Rune.

1.) So each time you dip into negative, it charges you 50 gold after you leave the fountain. I don't feel like many players realize this simple fact.

This means that anytime you'd want to use the extra gold to snag a potion or ward, your basically paying double price. Granted, taking an extra potion into a lane could potentially be huge, but the price is just too steep. You essentially delay your late game even more, which is the very thing Future's Market is supposed to work against. It undermines itself in the worst possible way.

2.) At endgame, your limit is generally around 250 to 300 gold. This is pretty low-impact. It's unlikely that it will make a large difference in what you are capable of purchasing. The scaling is really 'meh'.

I'd like to see the rune scale harder, but keep the penalty, so you can pick it and bank on a late-game power spike. Also would have strong impact if you have a horrible laning phase.

Alternatively, would likee to see the 50 gold charge cut in half or dropped entirely. Though this could make the rune pretty nuts.

As it stands, the rune just isn't competitive. What's the point of taking it?

Honestly, it feels like an actual burden of a rune. Think about it. Going into 150 debt means the game technically just gives you 150 free gold - or 200 at ten minutes. That's it. The slightly magical boots give you a free 300 gold at ten minutes and a unique passive to boot! No pun intended.

So if money's the issue, who would choose 200 gold and the choice of making lots of items cost 50 more each over a free 300 gold + 10 bonus movement speed? "Clowns" is the answer.

Actually i think future's market is the worst rune in league of legends, since going into debt means only that you have to farm that gold back and a little extra since lending fee and you cant always get the most out of it.

Example: Future's market +1250 Gold (through farm etc..) 1st back 1250 Gold - Serrated Dirk (1100) + Boots (300) = -200 Gold (150 Debt cap) +1100 Gold 2nd back 900 Gold (remember you have to pay your debt) - Caulfields Warhammer (1100) = -250 Gold +2000 Gold 3rd back 1750 Gold Youmuu's (700+ Dirk&Hammer) + Serrated Dirk (1100) = -100 Gold

In this time you lost 150 Gold and gained an item 150 gold faster in the beginning, since then you have had to farm your debt back and the cost for the items. So the rune is basically useless since it gives no advantages other than getting an item some 11cs faster in the beginning of the game for the cost of losing gold if you go under 0 gold for the rest of the game.

I've found Future's Market to be useful but it's very situational.

It doesn't make sense when gathering storm exists which offers a permanent otherwise unobtainable stat boost where as future's market is nothing once items cap.

And it's not like future's market is good sub 10 or 20 minutes.

Like if I play lame as heck Karthus top it COULD be useful to help ensure I get that super important rylias buy. Rylias is mega important for skittle accuracy dueling/chasing. But it only helps with a couple hundred gold. Even then it's not really worth its value when gathering storm or last stand exists.

It's inferior to other gold saving inspiration runes and inferior to output to runes in other trees. It does not pull off doing both good at all.

Also any potion that is not item 2031 or up is a waste of money.

Future's market is really good if you use it wisely. Don't buy potions and wards with it. Use it to finish off incomplete items early and build a lane advantage.

It's also good on certain champs that really need a certain item at first back

Future market is good on things like ezreal, if you have to back an your 100g short on your tear you can just buy the tear, instead youd have to wait and go back an possibly miss more money off farm and more time to max tear. ofc games are over so fast i stopped going tear on ez and just rush gunblade and play ap to snowball out of control.
