I'm not going to call for it to be changed back. But I used to play bot a lot, and now I play top or only someone overpowered bot because the 4 man ganks are more annoying than when Kassadin was 93% banrate or the soon-to-return assassin meta.

As a jungler, dragon is an important objective. Unfortunately, taking it by yourself is almost never worth the amount of time or effort it takes to do that. Gold is instant gratification that a jungler, who traditionally has a low amount of gold, can make up for lost time with.
