We only have a basic idea of the items being reworked or added.

The item changes only JUST got released to the beta testers.

The champions have yet to be revealed publicly.

We probably won't even get the massive mage update for another two months. (for public release)

Numbers change on the beta servers all the time.

The mage update(or at least the items) are being shot for 6.9, ~1 month away, but still in April.

The only problem is, none of the current item changes really address the mage item issue. It's not "lack of item identity" it's just lack of items that actually syngegize well.

Currently they want to take away mage abilities to spam and maintain decent mana, that's an issue. I play mage because all I want to do is spam, I wanna be that guy hurling spells and doing damage, I don't give a flying fuck about making my one AA land to get back mana, I don't want to AA as a mage more than I have to, that is the most boring part, AND most mage AA's do barely 100 damage.
