Why was Aatrox targeted when Tryndamere and Cho'gath still exist?

I just don't understand the narrative that everyone, including Riot, perpetuated. That is, that Aatrox's kit was "unfun" to play against and "toxic" for the game.

I'm sorry, what? Every play againstTryndamere ? That guy's kit is every more boring and annoying to play against. How about Chogath ? A massive Tank doing massive true damage with massive amounts of very annoying CC?

There is so much over powered, annoying BS in the game. Old Aatrox wasn't one of them. He was targeted due to some kind of weird bias by someone at Riot. Even when fed, taking him down wasn't impossible---some CC and burst damage, and he's dead. You can't even do that to Cho or Tryn, as Trynd will become invincible for the longest 5 seconds of the game and Cho is walking around with 6000 HP. And both of these champions do WAY more damage than Aatrox usually does in a match and can carry much harder.

Old Aatrox was relatively fine. The only thing that needed to happen was to either give him more damage and less heals or visa versa, or take away his revive and give him some resistances or tenacity in his kit and make his ult a team fight type buff or something to that effect.

There was no reason to delete him. In fact, you could have made Aatrox more of a good guy relative to this other world Ender Darkin, and have that champion just be a separate champion.

Its such a tragedy to lose a champion completely. And it adds insult to injury when the champion was taken in a weird direction that no one was asking for or hoping for. Even worse, Riot tried to claim that they polled Aatrox players. How could they lie so bodly. No Aatrox main would have ever said to make his kit more like Rivens. EVER. Its so insulting and disgusting, and we just let them get away with it.

Every league player should be upset because if this mentality persists, eventually they will delete your champion as well and turn it into something that they think can produce more revenue. No one should pick Aatrox or play him--stand up for the future of YOUR champion

Cho'Gath his kit tweaked not too long ago. Tryndamere has been rotting in the gutter for years now. They were at least in a spot where they weren't breaking the game, and technically Tryndamere got a VGU already in 2012, so it's only fair that they reserve more time and effort for more problematic champions like Aatrox.

Cho'Gath is due for a VGU as well, he looks hideous, but I think he's going to be VGU'd much later when they bring the Void lore to a boil.
