Tips for playing Vlad ?

I like Vlads theme as a champ and his lore, but despite playing him on and off for 2-3 years, I feel like I suck at him. Maybe I'm just too tilted by all the damage in the game, so I force too much in game. I can't do anything with him top vs. the likes of Jax/Irelia/Darius/Ornn/Maokai, etc. They just build 1 dmg item or full tank and I lose by default. Mid I get bullied by Ori/Malza/Corki and shit like that. In teamfights I can't do anything withou flash and since I have to power up my E and wait for emp Q, I just get bursted by adcs and cc-ed by tanks. I would love to play him well, but I just lose most of the time. How do you guys make him work ?

Farming on vlad is one of the most difficult things to do besides rammus and swain pre 6. For jax( iplay him alot) just go in when you charge the Q or whatever to poke him. If you uses Q to jump, then you pool out and heal off him for a positive trade. Dont push wave unless he recall and just sit where you are safe until pool is back up. DO NOT USE IT TO FARMMMM unless you 1000% know that he and jung are not near, or you are under tower which is fine. Try to freeze wave(hint kill two minions preferably casters and thin wave to 4 minions then sit and last hit so he has to take bad trades, you can zone him and he is compromised position.

If you are playing vlad on a D5 level and are looking for advice on how to get better, this is not the place to go just to put it frankly. I would just find a vlad one trick who makes him work every game in high masters+ and watch his stream or youtube channel and work on trying to emulate his strats.

Just a note: you can combo his e with your w. As in start charging e then w and you can release your e while in w form. Can be used to outplay scrubs.
