So, how in the fuck do you beat someone who passively blocks damage, is 100% targeted, and has hard CC?

You don't 'win lane' against Pantheon unless he's a mouth-breather. You avoid feeding him kills and out-scale him.

vs panth as any champ all u have to do is avoid farming or moving up hence his q spam wont actually work.
his mana costs are overexaggerated by panth 1 tricks who hope to preserve their champs braindead state .
ignite panth is prob the easiest lane in a 1v1 and would involve a cockroach to lose that lane as him.
there is no counterplay in lane against him other than to ask for ganks and if u dont get those, "better luck next time"

it's not actually a counter..sure, pre6 he can beat riven..but, if riven plays it safe, uses e for his q, she can easily reach level 6 without dying. sure, you give up some farm, but after level 6, you win;).

I main riven and me seeing a panth on the enemy team means I instantly lose lane and can't do SHIT about it because riot games .

Elkington VI1 votesHe gives me trouble too. I got smashed by a Panth/Leona premade the other day. Best option I've found is to get some armor/sustain and wait for the jungler. If not, hug that tower and hope he doesnt get fed on other lanes.

This is the one time I won't be mean and will agree with you. There is essentially nothing almost any champion can do to beat Pantheon in lane. He is, by far, the biggest lane bully in the game. Your only job is to try to survive lane without feeding him, because Pantheon is one of the most useless sacks of shit past laning phase there is. Take TP, build armour, take very little CS to keep him from comboing you, try to counter his roams if you can with your TP (a real thug Pantheon will take ignite), and just farm when he's not around.
For champion picks, there are:
: Play safe with this dude, farm up, and no joke, you can duel Pantheon. With a sunfire cape alone, as long as Pantheon isn't snowballing, you can start dunking on him. You outscale him in team fights as well.
: I don't know if top lane tank Karma still works, but this chick is incredibly safe, has great harass, and can actually wittle Pantheon down in lane and beat him.
: Same as Malphite, with the bonus of a lot of his tankiness being immune to armour penetration.
Those are three off the top of my head, but honestly, if you don't let him snowball most champions can beat Pantheon.

with health/5 quints, cloth + pots start. cleaver farm till sunfire, then run his ass down. Most important thing you do in that lane is don't feed him. Just chill and farm.
The Whamboozler1 votesHow to beat Pantheon, written by a Pantheon main.
Step 1: Don't die to him in lane. Give up farm. Play safe. Build tank. Respect his early damage. He will out-damage nearly everyone and everything early and his kit is impossible to mess up. It's almost all targeted. Just accept that he wins lane by existing and do all you can to farm up under tower, avoid being tower-dove and getting shit stomped.
Step 2: Wait a while. Pantheon becomes less and less useful as the game goes on. If he doesn't get a huge lead and start snowballing, he will struggle to matter. He will likely try to roam with his ult if you give him nothing in lane. The moment he leaves, hard shove and take tower... then group with your team.
Step 3: The longer the game goes, the more Pantheon sucks. Seriously. I have lost games where I am 16/5 as Pantheon because the game went too long and I fell off hard. Stop him from snowballing early, and then try to stall the game out if his team is ahead come mid game. Unless your whole team is awful come late-game... play for late game. He'll run outta gas eventually, and the less of an early lead he gets the sooner it'll be before he's not as much of a factor on the game as he should be.
Or if all that seems hard... just pick Darius and shit on him in lane. EZ-PZ.

stack your cloth armor and chug your potions and use your teleport lavishly. Don't worry about creeps, just survive.
step 2.
try to be there for your team when panth is trying to mid-game his way to victory with his ult. Dont take stupid risks like hugging the dragon if he's up and such.
step 3.
you are now in the team effort stage of the game, where you are more useful than pantheon even if you have less items. beat the crap out of his team and when he tries to jump behind you jut turn on him.
