with 350 range consider ranged special his range is nothing when he laning against 
?!!
They out poke him, they make double damage and in team fights they can stand behind tankers and destroy everyone while in team fights bound to be frontline someone with this "325" range yet in teamfights he fighting in melee range ?
Either you fix him or give him true range or nerf the hell out ranged top laners.

Matter of play style and how you adapt. Not all fights need to be fair at all stages of the game.
Ragnaveil1 votesIssue is, he's hindered on the fact other champions abuse his items (Gnar with FM before it was nerfed, several ranged champs abusing steraks causing it to be melee only, etc.) so his build becomes shotty and missing damage. For a champ considered being a "Juggernaut" he doesn't really live up to it.

Yep, that is the whole problem here. Frozen mallet got nerfed to ground cause the ranged abuser champions, steraks got abused aswell from ranged champions and he pay the total of that most of this abuser champion got other items they can use. example teemo : he still got a while seat of ap items to use beside frozen mallet, quinn and steraks she can use whole crit and leth items beside it. But urgot is locked down to stupid tanky items that doesn't work well with his kit.
