Legit 50% of this division shouldn'teven be in silver. And the best thing is: I won 9 games in a row got to plat 1. W/L/W/L and then ONE only ONE lose at 0 points and i get immediately demoted to 75LP meaning i have to win 4 games in a row again to get back. Yet there are players still in diamond who lost 10-15 games more than they won. How is this possible. That's the worst elo i've ever been too. BEcause i actually expect something from the top 2% of the playerbase... oh wait they are all boosted. You can only pray to get lucky so you somehow cross the border. Worst part is riot saying "promo games exist so you don't get immediately demoted after a loss at 0LP" but that's exactly what happens in plat 1... like WAT!? Spare me that promo lottery bullshit.

Even if they lost all their games after the account reached Platinum 5 (assuming that no teams were able to carry them despite their poor play), it would still take months before the player was demoted if they played the bare minimum of ranked games.
If they just wanted the rank for rewards and bragging rights, they can just play normal games afterwards and avoid ranked almost entirely.

And 1 of those 8 games if you're not completely stupid, you'll probably win, making it easier. But I do see your point, it's a valid point

Plat is a pretty good accomplishment (barring being boosted), whether you agree or not. When you're finally good at something you may as well do some stupid crap because you've already proven yourself. I've seen some 7k+ mmr DotA2 games that are just complete and utter clown fiestas (with a new favorite silly thing being Illidan raging at Kunkka + Keeper of the Light combo), and even when they're doing stupid things like that they're still better than the majority of people that play the game, because even during their ridiculous antics they're still being backed by their mechanical skill.
I once saw a Lich build Phase Boots + Mask of Madness + Armlet. That stuff is funny regardless of your MMR.

Let me tell you that its nothing special, literally anyone above bronze can get Plat. anytime they want with 2-3 friends, a long weekend, and pre-nerf meta picks. One of my close friends let himself decay into G1 because it was such a %$#&show.

Don't attempt to strong-arm me using my Rank, it makes people come across as a dick regardless if they are actually one or not. And after watching and playing with friends that are Plat (Lets face it, Gold is a lazy man's Plat. anyway and it's not like the mmr diff. is staggering either). I can come to the conclusion that: Yes I agree with the OP, there are a lot of boosted players in Plat. courtesy of dynamic que. border is from last season so people who got plat border reached it by solo/duo. It's only if they dont have plat border and calling themselves plat that are the boosted animals(most of them anyway)

League has largely become a casual normals fest for me because of all the things that could go wrong before a match even starts, so I just say fuck it and have fun with little care as to if I win or lose.
Competitively, fighting games I feel are superior in that regard, in my own personal opinion.

Sylvant1 voteshad an incredible encounter yesterday, a seemingly boosted Lux, which also used script to cast all her spells in one click. Only thing he did ok was he maintained some ok farm, but that was maybe duo to the fact his lane opponent was freely roaming around the map and successfully ganking. The surprise came about mid game when i got to gank her lane and as soon as i engaged, she shot all her arsenal in one blink(including ultimate), which ofc vs fed enemy did nothing. She kept using that combo the entire game, unable to use her passive at all. Was pretty funny to see her use bind, E and shield all at once. When she misses her skillshots, which was often, she left useless since all her cds were triggered. Besides that she/he had terrible decision making and was whiny on top of this.
