Who made an amazing drawing Which he kept admiring Asking himself if it was really him who made it? But he tried to add somethings more Which only ruined it. He tried to correct it But it wasn't as good as before.

You didn't finish. You only got to about mid to late season 4 in the timeline.

You forgot about the parts where he decided it was better now, ignoring everything wrong with it and continuing to add more, being so proud of his work that he convinced himself that any previous iteration was just nostalgia, which according to him, is the enemy of "progress." And no matter how many of his friends watching him do this told him to stop, as long as it looked fine to him, it was perfect, so he talked down to them for not recognizing his genius.

I honestly hate this line of thinking because it either ignores the good things that have changed or just downplays them as "Well that was ok BUT..."

We got an entire map update that made SR not look like a PS1 game. We got crafting that actually gives a ton of free shit for...well, free. We have a client update by the end of the year after years of waiting. Champions are boundlessly complex in kit, aesthetic and overall work compared to years ago. Champion reworks actually solve problems rather than just shifting the problem.

Is League perfect? Of course not. But there is a ton of good Riot -has- done that people conveniently ignore and only lament about "ugh I miss the old days"

This game has definitely gotten better over time. You ever seen old twitch/youtube clips before the visual update? I don't think players realize what they asking for when they talk about prior seasons. Every season there is something broken. Dragons are worth fighting for now, there is a rift herald that can be taken, masteries that make you feel like changing them actually matter, tons of new champions and reworks, jungle changes, support changes. Like yea... its not perfect but shit is def better now than it used to be. People get so hung up on good memories they forget all the old things they used to qq about.

If Riot patched the game back to say season 4 or season 5 (ok yes solo/duo queue would be sweet) people would be sad. I know I would be bored as fuck like... yea I might not play all the new champions but the game would seem so dull. Some people strive better in certain metas I get that but honestly I can't remember any season worth going back to. I don't agree with all of the changes but the game still feels fresh to me. If nothing ever changed what would be the point of continuing to play?

pretty spot on...and it seem that the change in the lead-designer had a lot to do with it (as it wasn´t the same artist that made the beautifull drawing that tried to "fix" it).

Hmm I think he refers to a moment when they added Ekko and Yasuo into the game xD
