Based on Ekko's Abilities, most people will end up building him bruiser/tank
And not an assassin as the champion reveal claims him to be.
Why? Because he has an AOE stun activated at melee range (typical tank ability 
),
he has a shield (bruiser
/tank
),
his autos have a slow (utility even if it does no damage
),
his Q has a slow (utility even if it does no damage),
and he's got a heal/rewind ult that gives back more health the more damage he's taken during its duration (tankier he is, more health he can potentially gain back 
).
Ekko obviously won't have the raw burst of 
or 
, so he can't blow up his enemies before they retaliate.
Riot already mentioned that "Ekko... has lower ratios", so he's not going to be like 
where building AD gives her an enormous scaling shield.
Ekko's also melee, so unlike 
he can't just go glass cannon and expect his tanks to keep him safe.
So unless Riot does some really weird math with Ekko's numbers, I can almost guarantee that tank builds will find their way in our new "utility assassin".
