Why does a non-mage champion have the best poke in the game at hardly any mana cost? Just why... poke is a Mage thing and you give it to an assassin. Just more proof that Riot gives all the game mechanics to their beloved assassin children because of LCSBIGPLAYS. Its so childish.

Zed Ekko Kassadin Katarina Talon all have safe poking tools, because assassins aren't SUPPOSED to 100-0 you until they're super fucking fed. The only assassins that don't have safe ranged poke are Fizz (who actually CAN 100-0 you at level 6, which is why everyone bitches about him) and Rengar (a jungler who relies on the laner's poke to kill people)
