I would like everyone who comments here to define it. Don't google toxic and send me a copy paste of the dictionary, use your own brain to tell me what it means.

Uhm... kinda confused there is toxic behavior and toxic playstyle - but I guess/hope due to fact toxic behavior is quite obvious I'll go along with toxic gameplay.

The term toxic is usually used to describe an ability or play pattern that causes and unnecessary amount of frustration for the opponent. Teemo Shrooms: Those things are super annyoing and they could be considered toxic quite fast - however that's the intended use of this ability which why it is fine. What I want to achieve with this example? Frustration is always one part of loosing. If you loose your lane agianst another player you will always think 'oh crap this shit is so toxic' while it just fine objectively.

So - whats really toxic now? Counterplay and Strenght are the important things here.

  • If it is strong - it needs counterplay Thats why Skillshot>Point&Click
  • If it is strong - it needs a high CD That's why you wait an hour for Lux E
  • If it has no counterplay - it has to be weak. That's why Azir and Kalista are Azir and Kalista
  • If it has no counterplay - it need a high CD That's why you can only Karthus Ult once every two games these days... /joke

If you encounter an ability, or better a whole Kit (because a single toxic ability is fine to some degree if the rest of the kit is mediocre), that's not in line with all of those statements the chances are high that said kit is indeed toxic. ^^
