My issue with supports

If you are 0/7/7 with leona, i do not care if you have half of the teams kills in assists. If you have half the enemy teams kills in deaths then you are feeding. supporting is a difficult role due to having to rely on your ADC for damage output and making sure they get to late game fine. BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FEED IMMUNE WOOHOO NICE JOB WITH THE CIRCLEJERK DOWNVOTES dont really know why though. this is talking about that ONE support thats shit

It's funny because a Leona with that k/d/a in a 14 kill vs. 14 kill game has actually performed a tremendous amount of help for her team. You guys would surely be ahead in terms of gold at that point unless your objective control is very poor.

If she's soaking all the team's deaths then her gold value is dropping and it is the correct choice for her to continue to sacrifice herself to protect the rest of her team and keep feeding kills to the carries because the enemy is getting very little gold for her deaths but her carries are getting enormous piles of gold from all of the kills (that they probably wouldn't even have achieved without Leona's passive procs)

It also depends on how much they snackrifice themselves for the ADC so that the ADC does not die. A lot of the times the adc makes that a decision that has to be made by the support. Also, if you die 7 times, you're kind of a worthless kill, so might as well you be the death instead of anyone else.

except that isnt true. with it being a leona support and getting the cs execute and increasing her CS scorew slightly it will keep her from being a worthless kill. anyway 2(300)+ a steadily decreasing gold count (not including assists) can easily be a free B.F. sword and a agility cloak at 10 min if they keep dying.

It takes 100Cs for this to be a factor. A support will never have to worry about htis

Yes, CS and assists all very incrementally reset your bounty to normal. However, it'll rarely reach that of a normal carry. You'll never be worth as much gold, which is sort of the point. Usually, supports are worth the least amount of gold in a game.

The tank support players will beg to differ.

Though we all know it is actually not hard to get a kill for his ADC and get out alive.

Dying 7 times is never ok.

If the vayne adc is getting 2 kills per death then it might be. That kda isn't telling the whole story. Did that leona save the other 4 during a disengage from a fight that they turned on when the enemy team tried to tower dive? Did that leona die but fed her ad 2 kills every time in bot lane? Possibly 3 if they got the jungler during a gank too? Did that leona control vision for them? Was she able to deter any ganks while roaming mid? Was it a bronze or plat game?

There are TONS of factors at play here.

Dying 7 times is never ok. Pantshe are dragon said that everytime you die it was a mistake. And learning to not die is key to getting to challenger.

Idk why people are downvoting this. Feeding is feeding. In most games 2 assists = 1 kill so really as support you should be trying to get 2x-3x+ more assists than your deaths. People with the mentality of "Oh I died 2 times to Vayne, but I'm a Soraka so it's ok." are extremely irritating.

If you are support you're probably doing the least amount of damage on the team if you are just playing a support for cc or tankiness meaning since you're doing the least amount of damage you should be the most careful in the sense of not dying because you're contributing the least amount of work in terms of raw numbers. This doesn't mean you're the least efficient though. Support is definitely in my opinion one of the most carry potential roles if played right simply because it's the weakest instead of having someone less skilled take it.

So a leona who has cooldowns all timing out should not try and save the adc by sacrificing themself? Here's another scenario: The adc sucks ass and won't engage with leona ever, which negates her whole reason for being there. You're looking at it as the support's fault when it could have been the adc or even a jungler's poor decisions that led to that kda.

This is all situational. If I was that leona and my adc wasn't at 14 kills then I'd be upset, but overall, that kda can be seen a bunch of ways. If the other two lanes are winning and that support died 7 times to feed 14 kills or mroe to the adc then it's worth it by the time the game is over. Leona still has her stun and her ultimate to make use of AND their adc should be hitting for a ton and shredding the enemy team.

See how if we look at the leona alone she seems poor, but if we remember it's a team based objective game then it really isn't horrible? We just don't have any other good data to run with. Normally, that wouldn't be an acceptable performance, but if those death's were traded off for a power shift somewhere else then it's not a huge loss.

Feeding the enemy purposely is never ok. You shouldn't engage on a enemy/team if there's a good chance you're going to die especially as leona because there's no guarantee it's going to save your adc. I don't play leona just because she's a all in type of support champion and doesn't have a good escape, but I know she is the type of champion to kamikaze and feed the enemy half the time.

Like the scenario you stated, if you can't count on your adc to back you up you shouldn't be playing leona. Play something safer with more tankiness, the same amount of cc, and higher damage that can carry themselves like Nautilus.

If it's a sacrifice of one support vs a sacrifice of even one of our bounty carries or a risk of our whole team not making it out, then screw it. I'll die for their sins if it means keeping our gold advantage and getting the disengage rather than a possible wipe. It's RARE this should ever happen, but we're talking about the general public in league. They wouldn't know how to safely disengage if you handed them the ripcord and a foot rub afterwards.

Not enough context here to say if that Leona is doing her job or not doing her job, but based on what is posted here, if you are the ADC getting caught out all the time and making dumb decisions forcing her to go in and sacrifice herself to keep you alive AND to get you those 7 kills, then there should be no complaining.

If their sup was the one that got most of those kills on Leona while, you the ADC, got the 7 kills then you are coming out way ahead.

as support, if I must save you and die for you to live, well I kind of do that. If the support is just going in without you following, that is miscommunication. If the support is chasing alone and dying, that is a problem. A support dying means nothing if you don't explain the situation. Is it actually your fault because they are trying to keep you alive? Are they seeing a chance and you aren't advancing? We need more than just she have died a lot to know who is to blame.
