Why are we still forced to use third party programs to check Statistics?

Does this remove a layer of responsibility from riot that other sites such as Op.gg are fine with taking on?

I just dont get it, i understand that at this point, these sites are deemed pretty reliable, but why isnt riot letting us in on their own winrate, pickrate, banrate, etc statistics. Just seems like dodging to me.

It's not necessary and the company has better things to devote time and manpower to than having someone calculate statistics all day?

What are you talking about? These statistics are already calculated? Riot uses their own statistics for their findings, they just choose not to release them to the public.

When riot talks about winrate, they arent talking about what they found on op.gg they are quoting their own statbases.

The shits already there, why can we see it though?

Back in the day Riot didn't have a lot of things in that people wanted, probably because they didn't think about it being something people wanted, and so fan sites showed up that would handle these things. Riot has just gotten used to some details being handled without them, just as those sites are perfectly happy doing what they do.
