Is Zyra too good?

I just lost a game to a support zyra who did the most dmg on enemy team and still had the least amount of gold, She a very game changing champ with lots of dmg and good CC. I think she needs to be toned down? Or maybe there is a way to counter her better?

I think she needs to be toned down a bit, was playing thresh and at level 3 zyra half healthed me and my ADC with 3 plants.

That's your problem, her plants have an auto attack speed of 0.8. So basically you got hit between 10-15 times? She also probably had something like deathfire touch or thunderlords(I prefer thunderlords).

Pretty sure Zyra capable of doing that pre-rework as well but only if she hits her Q W combo and an auto attack to proc thunderlords. Her Q at that time was easier to hit and a bit longer range due to it being a big circle instead of rectangular shape. But you know, she was op before and after rework but not god tier.

You can be great champion, but if no one plays you, no one cares.

Like Yorick is great now, and the Old Poppy was amazing, but few played them so what.

This new Zyra plays like Veigar. There's an imbalance. Veigar not even balanced, but that's a whole other thing.

Imbalanced? Like? You mean annoying to deal with right? Because her damage output is the same as the old one. She just needs to proc 1 or 2 more plants to deal the same amount of damage as pre work zyra. That being said, it's a situational damage since plants can die and the only buffs she really had was 15 movement and 10 healths?

Her plants are not the damage you concern yourself about. it's the combo.

Zyra, as of today, 6/13, is the support with the highest win-rate and third-highest damage. Her combo has a 175% AP ratio, 730 base damage, and minions with 22.5% AP ratio. Plus she's all AOE. Since she's building AP, you can assume she gets 600 AP. Which due to AP item buffs, isn't far fetched. 600*1.75 = 1050. So Her combo, as a SUPPORT, is 1780 magic damage in AOE.

You can say she always had that damage; but with these new items, forget it.

But who builds pure ap on Zyra? Zyra is more dependent on magic penetration than ever before because of her ratio and base damage on Q got nerf, so is her ultimate. If you are not counting the plants damage output then I don't know why you are complaining about her combo now and not pre-rework where she is capable of being able to burst the whole team more.

What do you mean Zyra as support does magic 1780 magic damage AOE. She WAS like this BEFORE REWORK WHEN BURSTING THE WHOLE TEAM DOWN AND EVEN BETTER AT IT than she is now.

I'm so confused about your arguments, and Zyra used to be 52-53% win rate before the mage update, people just never see her since season 3 and now she got in spotlight and everyone is trying to bring her down.

She did the same thing before rework lol. She actually needs to hit more plants to get to her pre-work damage as they nerfed her scalings/base damages. Go at her with someone with gap closers, ekko, zed, etc.

early game she's a beast at laning forcing enemies to tower hug, or constant ganks but she doesn't scale well into late game, seeing she's squishy and relies on a zone she has plants in to get her damage going
