Not quite sure how it happens, but it seems like when I play as a Silver, duo with a gold... my teams are majorly silver while my enemy team is majorly gold? How does that seem fair for balancing. Like you'd think, Oh your duo is gold, so let's put him against a gold top, mid, and jungle, and lets make your teammates silver 4, silver 3, and maybe silver 2 if we are nice.

That said, you didn't specify what division people are. Gold 5 players for example could have mmrs anywhere from silver 4 to actually gold 5, so mmrs could actually be balanced even if both sides have a duo despite one side having more golds, since it only cares about mmr, not rank.
