Honestly Taliyah's Late game is really good

Not OP good just like good that its balanced yet strong

you'll probably have enough CDR to spam your skills during a team fight and a majority of them happen to really zone out a few targets

Your abilities hurt(especially if you combo them ouch),W+E just stings and your E in general frustrates the living hell out of champions with jumps and dashes

Your Q is just there for spam poke(its cd is absurdly low with 45%)

my problems with her: Why can't i cast anything else during my W

I guess she needs counter picks ,but seriously i hate blinks

this is true ( about Taliyah - completely accurate, but also incomplete )! <3

i would have made my own thread but i found this one, so i will continue this discussion with the following points and thesis:

Taliyah is not as widely played or accepted as the developers at Riot was hoping... with the release and survey of Riot, the company which hosts our League of Legends is discovering the material reject for a new champion who is less widely played than Aruelean Sol AurelionSol

The reason for this is because ( and especially as a result of all the balancing and op and nurf complaints considering champions ) Riot has decided that they want LoL to be "fun"; and ( while they continue to predetermine such things for us, like what should be fun and what they think is cool and what they think should be balanced ) they have in fact hit the nail on the head with a population the exact size of myself... as i will never main another champ... ( again)...

i love Taliyah with all my heart - the problem is.. that it's "too little too late"...

Q: why do i say this?

... here's why...

A: the mission statement at Riot has changed. when before all Riot wanted to do was make the blood-thirstiest point and click combat they could by adding all the most cool ideas they thought would suffice, today it has "bitten them in the arse"... and here's why to that...

Riot was naturally concerned before the release of Taliyah, and there was even a survey extended to the players of her purchase. All Riot wanted to know was if they could create champions who were fun in gameplay for more than just "kill and destroy winion" reasons..

this is not wrong nor is it a sin...

however, Riot has overlooked the monster of a community they have already created, a community that will only be accepting of meta game champions.

now, again, i love Taliyah to death and her kit is "( more than ) fair"... i might even go so far as to ( perhaps ) call it fine..

but there are things to talk about concerning a certain invalidity the champion Taliyah possess - which is over pronounced in her design to promote more reason to play the characters for sheer reasons of enjoyment rather than victory or kill scores.

A character like Taliyah can't be widely excepted in the world of Runeterra as a champion in League of Legends ( due to the CONTINUED neglect of the overall game balance ) for two reasons:

1.) Taliyah is not even truly competitive (forget meta) - her invalidity is over pronounced ... so forget "meta", how about let's remember the game real fast...

  • the battles in League of Legends are conducted by 'Summoners' who randomly summon the beings who are contestants to the arenas. Rarely are these bouts and battles for sheer entertainment, as they are often very few spectators in terms of the fantasy world... ( keep in mind, there's a war zones, NOT arenas ).

  • the battles in League of Legends are there to ( commonly ) settle political disputes and decisions... so even if the Champions summoned do not, themselves, feel the weight of their battle and what is at stake - the 'Summoners' certainly do ( in terms of theme, story and lore ).

  • because each 'Summoner' of Runeterra would want to win the dispute and believes in the ideals which they represent, those Summoners are ONLY going to summon the most COMPETITVE champions they their disposal who they conceive will work in compatible tandem with the other champions summoned by the allied 'Summoners'...

  • LoL is a LEAGUE for this reason... Summoners only collect champions that they can feasibly see might be worth summoning, and so all the champions involved are ( equal in terms of capabilities ) at least in this way. This is what it means to be in a LEAGUE.

Taliyah ( like modern day Soraka ) falls below the remaining champions in terms of the performance standards that would be set by the average capabilities of all champions in the league.

So Taliyah can actually stand a few buffs.. and i'm actually going to name exactly what they should be..

Disclaimer i hope Riot never makes the changes i name or any other improvements or changes to Taliyah, because i'm happy enough with her considering that no other players really ever play her nor will due to her lack of performance so i get to have and play my favorite champion without everyone else playing her all the time. the less "meta" Taliyah is, the more to me she belongs to, and i'm fine with that. she's my main.

A.) in order to increase Taliyah to Soraka Soraka and ( perhaps even ) Lux Lux's tier ( because Taliyah is in fact below them both - especially as support ), Taliyah's Unraveled Earth ( E ) could provide a stun applied by each/any REMAINING mine field units which explode naturally by the duration of the ability... the stun, however, could not apply to when the mines explode prematurely as a result of dashes, shoves, pulls etc.

B.) any enemy hit and bumped out the way by Taliyah's Weaver Wall ( R ) should be harmlessly stunned without ( otherwise ) taking any harm or damage - just a stun.

C.) Worked Ground created by Taliyah's Threaded Volley ( Q ) should dramatically accelerate the cooldown of Taliyah's Rock Surfing passive, rather than just increase her movement speed ( the insignificant amount that it currently does ) at all..

This Taliyah that i am describing could carry a team to diamond or platinum ranked games at a rate of succession nearly equal to Zyra, and would establish her BOTH as a fun to play champ AND purposeful in the league by eliminating the unreasonable amount of invalidity she has been designed with.

I don't think Taliyah is OP good either; they released her a notch below balanced state for her. Her team fight potential is pretty amazing and her ult is an extremely great utility tool. Thing is she's simply not going to do TOO well alone unless extremely ahead sort of like TF. She can simply push lane and try to poke in lane while safely farming up your cores. Then when you get ult and probably some form of AP you can gank. Also I think you need to give people more time to learn a champion. I'm sure we'll see some amazing Taliyah main's. Her skill cap is quite high.

Her ult is the only reason to play her. Every other spell has a draw back.

Q: Worked ground gimps your damage if you spam Q W: Stops you from casting spells. Nessecary to do damage on your own. Guess what? Ironically its one of the hardest spells to land in the game. E: Holds okay damage potential (some nice burst) but has a killer cooldown unless max it. If you max it, you have to wait for W to do consoderable damage and if you miss W. E is useless. (A Stretch)

Yet Im gonna try to main her alongside with Karma
