Why does Draven get an INSANE early game, but still gets to keep a great late game?

The champ is sitting at a 53% WR in Plat+ atm, and the reason for that is he has no weaknesses. Early game, his damage is insane, rivaled only by Lucian. Then when late game rolls around, sure his damage isn't absolutely disgusting like it is early to mid game since everyone else has scaled up, but it is still a good late game. Riot even buffed his late game recently for some reason. Pantheon has such a great early game, but is useless late, as an ADC Draven has an early game that arguably rivals Pantheon yet somehow still gets to keep a pretty good late game?

If you're gonna give him an early game that good (Lucian too), then they need late games that look like Vayne and Jinx's early games. If you think that''ll destroy the champion, then just nerf the early games so people will have a chance. Why should scaling champs get shit on by them in lane, then possibly get shit on by them late game too? Draven is a hard ass champ, his win rate should never really exceed 50% just like with Ryze, what do you guys think?

I mean I haven't played against Draven in ages, and I hate facing him but isn't it because his movements are kind of telegraphed by his Q making him an easy pick if he tries to keep his axes up for too long?

Yeah, but Draven kills most squishies in ~2 axes and maybe an ult. You don't have time to punish his telegraphed movements.

Only in lategame with full build.

And in that case, the only squishies to engage in the first place should be either a mage AoE bursting him or CCing him or an assassin trying to assassinate him.

I dunno man, he spikes just as hard as any other adc, if not harder, with item 3046 item 3031 item 3072

Juggle 2 axes and if anyone tries to cc you when you go to pick up dodge press q still have 2 axes not to mention blood thirster heals about 37% - 40%Of Dravens max hp per auto with how much raw damage he puts out.

My guess is because his power is "gated" by hi axe. If he has no axes he does no dmg essentially

Draven is like a Lucian except with more damage and less mobility. He's low ranged, but his autos are fucking insane late game with his Q literally doubling the damage of his autos, and that's before crit.

Basically, he's scary as fuck to melees because he can possibly draintank them, but longer ranged mages should kill him if they hit their skillshots.

I think you forgot the playrate here. Draven is strong by player that know him, so his playrate is mostly ca. 5% and these 5% have the 53% winrate. Now compare that to caitlyn, she has a strong early and a much stronger late than Draven, and sits at 52% win rate. My point here? Her playrate is ca. 33% which means every idiot ever picks her and she still got a win rate as good as the elite 5% Draven player. Also, Draven relies on kills or his passive is non existent making him a risky pick.

draven is actually very susceptible to burst damage champs early game and his early game isnt really that strong its just if he hits his full combo on you at level 6 you will most likely die . not only is he hard to play ( hes really not that hard to play in reality , hard to play is more defined by how much focus the player needs to execute the functions they need to do in order to play their champion efficently . i.e. if you are playing kha zix and u dont know how to take advantage of bushes to ambush enemies you are essentially a bad kha zix player ) if a diana jg comes to your lane to gank at lvl 6 odds are he will get shut down everytime before he has a chance to damage your adc much . also dravens lategame is very arguably one of the worst for an adcs and comes close to as bad as sivirs lategame . his whole gimmick really is cashing out his stacks and being the most farmed champion for a quick victory under 40 mins usually .

Why are you responding to this 2 year old post, just to try and counter it with a bad block of biased, non-organized nor thought out argument?
