Kindred's on-hit has a minimum damage, and isn't capped vs monsters.
Seems the on-hit deals a minimum of around the number of stacks times 8, and baron and dragon are too easy to take with the uncapped damage.

'Easy' is rather relative. Early game chances are that by the time dragon gets attacked, a fed Kindred isn't likely to have more than 4 stacks (with not fed being potentially 0 stacks), which is 6% current health damage. Sure it helps chunk it's HP off early, but the damage decays as the target's health does. I find it a lot less disturbing that Kalista's execute E being as good or better than Smite late game.
They still didn't fix the cap? God lol
