frost queen claim and sightstone CANNOT be removed, or you are going to lose SO many support players

first off, you are going to lose COUNTLESS support mains, and secondarys.. (myself included) with this change

certain champs can work well with your merged sight stone items we already have but there are MANY support who are frankly going to be absolutely GUTTED if this change goes through

the first of which is my main support in Morgana

not only will i lose the active on item 3092 that i can use to slow enemies, to sweep forward to check for enemies so i can safely ward without walking into a trap. i will also lose the speed boost when landing a skill.

this coupled with the fact i already lost my heal off minions with your stupid as passive change to her. and i lost the ability for my W to proc more than once on the same champion.. and NOW even a DIFFERENT champsion walks into i STILL only get 1 proc.

but you also want to remove item 2049 which it turnsa means removing item 2045

and item 2045 is the ONLY item in them game that gives "active item cdr"

making it ab absolute must rush for champs likeMorgana the instant you finish item 3157

so i will literally lose TWO out of my first three rush items.

i was REALLY excited to play the new lunar Lux and Warwick

but if i lose two of my three supports, i am going to be down to THREE champions i play. one of which is frequently banned Blitzcrank who would then be as my only support. i have been playing since season 3... and i have left league for a period of 8 months before in season 5.

but honestly i am going to freaking leave again if this shit goes through.. you are literally RUINING all the fun of support. so i hope to god you don't push this bullshit through, because i want to keep playing.

but this shit goes live, i think thing there can be any saving this game... certainly not for me. its already teetering over a precipice with the absurd damage creep. this change would shove it well over the edge...

I think the changes that are being made to sightstones are great.

I think the changes that are being made to sightstones are great.

theer are no changes to "sightstone" they are flat out REMOVING item 2049 item 2045 item 3092 item 3401 item 3069

and they are just keeping item 2303 item 2302 item 2301

item 2301 does not give me the speed boost passive, it does not give me the ghost's as i can know if it safe to go into an unwarded area to actaully ward it, idont get the 500 hp from item 2045 , and i dont get the 20% item cdr.

i the price in gold of the amount of things i lost i would value at over 4k. and they are (outside of item 3157 ) the two most important items i can buy.

They've said they'll be looking at the Frost Queen and Talisman actives for other items. We will still have sightstones, we just won't be able to buy them as we will have to complete the Gold quests on the Suppport items.

For active items there's still the Cosmic Insight rune that gives 5% off those.

i already take cosmic insight, so its still a 20% loss

item 2045 also gives 500 hp and morg and uses that to help with her ulti too

so i would still need 500 hp and the active, so unless thier new active item gives the "ghost" active.. and the speed boost on skill and 20% item cdr and 500 hp.. along with somthing else.. its still a net loss. and thats a hell of a lot to ask for from one item that is likely going to give ap as well

You might find this relevant. "Overall power level of supports after this change isn't intended to change. If this ends up being a noticeable buff or nerf to the position as a whole we'll adjust things.

Goal is that Sightstones should still become available around the same time in lane. Amount of gold needed to complete the quest has been reduced as a result to keep that timing.

We'll be moving the Frost Queen's and Talisman actives onto new items, with a goal of finding costs and build paths so that they're accessible to both supports and non supports.

Active item CDR on an item might come back at some point. It's a decent concept for an item certainly, in terms of what sort of play it enables and the item choices it creates. Would almost certainly need to be paired with a cap on active item CDR though. The lack of an active item CDR cap's an oversight, given until 7.22 there weren't any other sources, and it's leading to issues balancing items. "

Edit, The support quests have kinda been splashing into other roles and causing some balance issues. I will miss them but as a support player I'm entirely ok getting free vision on my income item. @op, I think playstyle is a part of the games enjoyment so I wont debate viability of morg. instead may I recommend that when you find the games chronically unfun TAKE A BREAK! seriously riots always changing and tinkering, some times if your playstyles wrecked and the game meta is not your jazz its better to spend a few months away and keep an eye for meta shifts and just do the occasional game when your really missing it.

Also, as a Soraka player, I like to rush item 3083 and item 3069 for maximum waaaahmublance. item 3107 and item 2045 are the most desirable items for me to hit that Warmogs passive health regen. Really not looking forward to Ruby Sightstone being removed.

They are talking about returning items that were possibly deleted or making similiar ones with similiar or same actives (such as shurelias, and twin shadows). This is per red posts about the changes. You can see them over at surrenderat20.

First off, I agree that it's an undesirable change. I have a ton of fun with item 3092 and glacial augment, then add item 3107 and item 2045 ? you're golden as support.

it kind of feels like riot is saying "hey we're saving you $800 by not having to buy sightstone! ...but now you need an extra 2400 to buy Twin Shadows again."

kind of bullshit.

on a second note.... @op... season 3 and that's your playable champ pool? learn to diversify man.

i can play more champs, but i feel no need to.

i started playing Nidalee mid lane in season three so i also played a bunch of mid laners Ziggs Orianna Syndra Lux Morgana Nidalee Nidalee

i also used to play Darius Nidalee and Khazix top

and right now i play Nidalee Warwick

but i also used to jungle with Khazix and RekSai

but i absolutely despise RekSai now, she has been worthless ever since season 6 and i don't play top or mid anymore

it's really just Warwick Nidalee jungle and Lux Morgana Blitzcrank support

every champ i actively play has a liner skillshot that stops at the first target hit (except lux's Q which hits the first 2) Nidalee q Warwick r Lux q (again this hits 2) Morgana q Blitzcrank q

so yea... that's kinda my thing

Bard Braum Karma Lissandra Lulu Nautilus Rakan TahmKench Thresh Xerath

All viable support champs with a skillshot as you described.

That being said, they are all pretty much losing out from this change to support items in one way or another.

I could not find an excuse Riot provided for removing Frost Queen's Claim. I loved that item. It was a great offensive support item. I would dominate support with fiddlesticks using it. I jumped into a ranked game last week using fiddle, and it was gone. The item was not in any way an OP item giving advantage to another team. I found it to be a great offensive and defensive tool during game play.

This is the story of the typical Riot brand though. You have an item many like using and they decide to delete it with no good reason or excuse. Play on!!
