I honestly dont know how to beat jayce

It literally doesnt make sense to me, hes being played more and more and thus im being stomped more and more. I just dont understand how to beat him because A)In melee form he can hit hard and wear down magic resist and armor and even if you hit him hard enough he can just knock you back ¯_(ツ)_/¯ B) From a distance he can gain attack speed and that hitbox from the ball feels longer and bigger than morg's q .-. So my questions are] Is he really strong right now? He seems to have been strong for a long time and people just found out about him being stupid Is he getting nerfs? How do i beat him?

I looked you up to figure out what roles you play so I could answer your question. He's pretty similar in terms of counter play to a Zed when playing in the mid lane. Yes he's strong but the way he's currently building is all about the early game. Without item 3042 he isn't as strong late game anymore. That's why even in top lane you'll see Jayce run thunderlord's and grab ignite. They NEED that early game advantage to scale.

Now to beat him, you want to avoid fighting him. I'm sure you know the obvious about not engaging him and staying behind your minions but it actually really is vital - he doesn't have the mana to constantly to his gate + Q combo. Secondly having exhaust when he charges into you will really cut down his damage and actually allow you to fight back.

If you're curious about top lane - it's all about counter picking him there. Due to the top laners I play I actually very little difficulty absolutely crushing him.

ive been vs a triforce rush jayce who just had his jungle sit next to him and everytime i tried to trade i died.

everytime he pushed into my tower, i was dived and died.

there is no counterplay

If you play top, pick Irelia. She's one of the best choices vs ranged top laners.

one of his huge weaknesses are his high mana costs. If you dodge his EQ( the electric wall thing and the large pulsating electric ball that get shot form it) then he'll only have a few more of those left to poke you with earlygame.
If you don't let him poke you down at all and just farm under tower(I hate farming under tower as well as farming with sometimes one ranged ability)

then you'll outsustain him in mana costs which allows you to get an easy kill when he's at 1/3 mana due to him not being able to trade afterwards

The first time I played jayce, no one was playing him. I'd say it was about 4 months into season 6. First match was meh but second match I went 27/0. Jayce is literally broken and what people don't realize, is that he's a more broken mid laner than a top laner. He out pokes and out burst most mages and has a free gap closer along with an insane slow.

It is harder to lose with jayce than with almost any other top laner I've played. Build armor against him? Nah he just builds yommus, cleaver, and lord doms and that shit doesnt mean anything. Build health? He'll shred it. Jayce is one of those champions where it feels completely unfair to play against him because it is.

Jayce main here. The best way to beat me in lane is to play someone that scales late while being safe early, or someone that wins trades. Granted, most winning trades versus Jayce are skill matchups, but if you play something like Darius, Irelia, or Riven, it shouldn't be too hard. One thing you need to do is LEARN about Jayce to beat Jayce. He has no ult, but you need to watch his cooldowns. Try to engage after he uses his Melee OR ranged Q to farm, as it will make his damage lessened in the trade. He doesn't have a "big scary ability", he has a big scary combo. First ranged auto attack -> Ranged e+q, Form switch, -> W -> Q -> First melee auto -> E. If he has cooldown reduction and mana this can just loop in circles forever until you die, he dies, or his mana bar depletes.

Another great way to fight Jayce is to watch his mana. Jayce is EXTREMELY mana dependent, and it's a sign of a bad Jayce if someone uses their skills to farm too much. Be aware that Jayce is constantly wanting to either snipe you or dive you, and he has the damage to back it up. You have to dodge his attempts to fight, and punish accordingly.

play a juggernaut and take ghost so he doesn't kite you. hes strong in lane all I can say

I will tell you who I cannot beat in lane. and that is Swain . slowly believing that hes the most broken champion in league. game after game that I cannot win against him in lane or not.

Yeah he needs a nerf. Turns out if you have 8 abilities that all do damage it's kinda OP. Recommend banning him.

unfortunately jayce's early game is a bit too strong so he has no bad match ups. In my experience, poppy and naut do pretty well. IMO just don't die to him early, or else its gg top.
