Why are they garbage?

  1. Ninja Tabi was buffed up to 30 armor last year
  2. Ninja Tabi was buffed up to 12% from 10% AA reduction
  3. Mercury Treads lost tenacity 35->30
  4. Riot put knockups and knockbacks on every goddamn champion and those aren't affected by tenacity

Ofc on top of ad champs and lethality being busted, merc treads are ass

It does feel like every team comp and champion has enough CC to lock you down through most amount of Tenacity.

merc treads are still good against ap and cc heavy teams though.

no its because ad damage is through the fukkin roof. and lethality adc are the worst of all so ninja are the perfect item to buy some time against that.

i wager after item 3143 its one of the best defensive items you can get especially in combination.

How did mercury treads lose tenacity. Maybe its less effective but it still has tenacity.

Auto attack based damage and AD Itemization is generally crazy right now. You can build MR and survive. You can build Armor and you are still going to die at lv 18 to the 45% bonus armor reduction, lethality reductions and max health % damage. Its really hard to survive right now as a support tank.
