Its harder to make trash tier champ useful against meta ones than playing meta champions themselfs.

This misunderstandment is the core reason why MasterYi and others are being kept garbage but LeeSin is god tier since forever.

Riot doesent take into account how hard it is to do anything with a champion that cant do anything but belives that "harder" champions are so hard to use that they deserve to be broken.

You think how well would Yi perform in a real LCS match? Not much more than a cannon minion in his current state.

Its like bringing knife to a gun fight, yes. its easier to use a knife, but try to make anything happen with it..

I mean, think of how Yi would be if he was high elo viable, but just as binary? It'd be insufferable. The difference between Yi and Lee is that Lee has the tools to rocket anyone to high Diamond or more...but you actually need to be good enough to use those tools well and consistently. Yi, if he's comparable to Lee, doesn't have enough levers to keep him from being way too potent in one aspect of his kit, making for a lousy game play experience, so he's kept weak. Give him early game strength so he can actually do shit as a jungler besides farm? Then his late game power + that strength makes him fucking insane, given how he easily decimates almost anyone that isn't full-on invincible when he's on items. Give him late game strength? He already bodies anyone in the game at that time except fringe cases like Kayle. What the hell CAN you do with Yi as is?

Then when champs are reworked to alleviate this issue we got dudes coming out of the woodwork going "I WAS A POPPY MAIN SINCE BETA YOU FUCKING SOILED IT!" like we actually want these binary roster-placeholders in the game instead of actually usable champs.
