Even bad players can stomp with Riven nowadays

Every single game she is banned or picked, at least my games. I have seen people with very few games on her stomping top lane simple because of how oppressive she is.

Personally, When the enemy team picks Riven, I just think its time to pull out Darius.

Riven is a free kill for Darius at all stages of the game.

This is such a lie. Darius can't disengage of riven and when his ult is down, he is dead 100% of the time because she is very mobile. Even if your ult is up, you need exhaust to kill her before she kills you.

Early game Darius out damages Riven by a good amount, He doesn't need to disengage Riven because when SHE tries to disengage, Darius can use his grab to re-engage and force extended trades. Which is exactly what Riven doesn't want due to being heavily ability focused.

Riven is also very squishy early game, meaning Darius just flat out kills her every time he looks at her.

Yeah, he kinda does. His pull outranges any of her gapclosers, so if she goes in to harass you or get minions you can Q and then start beating her face in with autos + W until she tries to run, then pull her in and continue punching her. In addition, due to his bleed + W, Darius wins any extended fights (which he can force due to E) and since Riven has no poke or range she's going to lose verse Darius.

Smart Darius players don't engage with the grab. They save it to block retreats. Meaning if Riven goes into last hit minions, You Q her. If she tries to E away, you grab her and beat her silly.

And from the looks of things, your just making yourself look like an idiot more and more with each post.

Smart Riven will not die if you don't grab her to engage. Also, if you don't poke her with your Q, you lose, but she can shield it easily if she is good, so basically, you lose.

You don't use the Q as soon as she runs or engages; if she runs, you E her in, then Q (her shield will be up by then, it's duration is crap), if she engages, you auto then Q after the shield is gone. The hook is a way for Darius to extend fights, you don't engage with it, you force them to reengage.

Otherwise, Darius doesn't need to disengage. He can do extremely good damage while building armor, which will both counter all of Riven's damage while using Darius's own damage to murder her for it.

Sorry Riven doesn't have the early game damage output to beat a darius regardless of whether or not his ult is down unless Darius is bad and doesn't know how to deny CS.

This guy knows whats up. Also, when I'm playing Riven, if someone picks Fiora, I'm gonna have a bad time. Fiora goes even with Riven early, but Riven needs to snowball to be useful late, so she fizzles unless she gets lucky against that Fiora.

Garen > Riven... Also Garen is easier to use and you just build tank, not much Riven can do about Garen. Of course if the Riven is better then you or familiar with fighting against Garen then it wont be that easy.

Garen is useless late game though, meanwhile riven can just farm and roam. Also she has late game.

Garen isnt useless late game you just dont use him like you do a normal Tank. He doesn't have hard CC so its not like you can stop someone from going all in and he doesnt have reliable gap closer so its not like he cant be stopped from going all in, but there are a few things you can do.

Stay near ADC or APC, if anyone goes in on them use your Silence then spin-to-win. That way they can't go back out and use their full kit.
Build some offensive items such as Black Cleaver (who doesnt buy this on Garen?) and Infinity Edge (your spin will crit and its amazing) then build all tank. Use your Q to hit someone with CC or a carry, then spin-to-win and throw on your W. Watch them melt as your team just collapses on them.
Go assassinate the ADC... They are squishy so just run straight to them. If they run then just attack someone else, this fight is now a 5v4. If they stay then Q,E,W (if needed), R when low enough, they just felt his JUUUUSTIIICCCEEE.
Your Q removes slows and your W reduces all CC by 30% (as well as all incoming damage) so just act like your going after ADC and laugh while they blow all their abilities and CC on you.
Tank Baron, Dragon, and Turrets for your team.

Garen may not be amazing in late game and he certainly is no Mao or Rammus, but he does have his uses. He deals decent damage, gets ridiculously tanky with his W, and his silence is not to be underestimated. Garen is as useful as you are skilled with him, if you are a trash Garen you will be trash late game. I know Garen doesn't take much skill to use, but there is skill required for all champions on when and how you use abilities.

And mid and high. Just like many other champions. She is really good champion without any major weaknesses or really hard counterpicks.

I guess Liss, Azir and Malphite top are pretty good against her but they aren't very popular.

I would be glad if Riot could change her in a way so that newbie player could not stomp their enemy with button mashing.

I'm sorry if a player is getting stomped by a bad riven, then they're likely not mid, and they're certainly not high.

Riven is good against squishy champions. She is ass against anyone who can either safely poke her/disengage from her or has the stats (high early game damage and durability) to outtrade her early game (Renekton/Garen immediately come to mind).

She isn't ass against poke, Jayce is poke and he is able to disengage with his E and its still a skill matchup against those two. Gnar is poke and if he builds tank she will go sustain and if Gnar goes dmg she will try to blow him up in 4 hits.

I dunno dude, Jayce is scary no matter who you're playing as, although I had one lucky break as Shyv top one time. I think that Jayce was just bad tho.

I thought phrase "being an ass" means being really bad and I wrote that she is pretty strong against heavy poke champs like jayce and gnar (skill matchup) on top of that I wrote that while "being an ass" against certain mechanics she is still better than many other melle champs in this game (like Noc, udyr, olaf, darius or Tryn)

We either misunderstood each other or I don't know english well enough, sorry.

I don't find her overpowered but she is one of the most popular and versatile top champions in the League.

It's pretty bullshit that she has a dash that also gives her a shield that also scales with her AD. Nerf this skill further so that you can counterplay against her easier.
