Aram Thoughts On Aram Mechanics by an Aram Veteran Who Mains Aram

--------Randomness I believe aram to be consistently random, heres a few things that can skew your view of this

Your chance of getting a champion for 100 games in a row is the exact same as getting a different champion each game for 100 games, please understand that. This is huge.

The fact that trades are possible means that unwanted champs that are first rolled while a summoner has a reroll will almost never be played.Udyr for instance

Did i mention trades skewing randomness heavily?

Summoners with low champion pools tend to get free rotation champions frequently. Causing what seems to be a skew in the amount of time free week champs see the aram map.

-----------Aram Only Accounts

**Stop worrying **about these so much, these are what we would call a "noob trap".

Due to the ever increasing number of** free rotation champions**, and the amount of reroll opportunities you get from owing champs, you are actually** hurting **yourself by trying to achieve an "aram only" champion pool. **It is much more efficient to have a roster of around 70+ champions **you are comfortable with for both roll odds, and reroll gains.

---------------Bots In Arams

This is where everyone is correct, lower elo aram games are 100% filled with bots, riot seems to not have anything to say about this, not sure if its due to their tactics of attack, or what, but we arent getting much from them.

My only advice is play more arams, grind through the bots. I have a ton played so i know im not everyone, but at my aram mmr i havent seen a bot in multiple seasons.

I was kind of on board, but the constant nagging to read something twice when it only takes me one read to understand it made it feel like you were questioning everyone's intelligences

Bots are not a ARAM problem, they are a League problem.

Telling people "it will get better, just grind out those games, it'll get good some day" is completely unreasonable. Please don't take that as a personal attack, I'm mad a Riot for this, not you, its sad that your advice is the only thing we players can do. The game should just plain work, if it doesn't its Riots responsibility to fix it, the problem is that they refuse to, they have so for years.

Bots infest almost every game-mode of League, you can find them in; vs AI games, ARAM games, ascension, and even that 3x3 map whatever its called.

The truth is it'll never get better, sure you can escape the bots in some game modes by climbing in rank but League overall won't get better. It's been like this for as long as I've played League, its never been fixed. Riot won't even try to fix it.

I understand, and its why it was given as my option, im the go to aram lobby guy, get invited 100's of times a day, and most of the time, its by lower level people. BOTS are in infestation, and i honestly believe, the speed and methods of attack, are shitting on riot and they cant admit it.

Eh, I don't know about that.

It's probably more the difficulty of writing code that can separate Botters from normal human players vs the easy of changing up the Bot code to once again slip past the detections in place. It's not really shitting on Riot or Riot not admitting they get shit on, its just usual code warfare.

At least I think...

Still sucks for us that they limit themselves to only the option of banning botters. XD

well seeing as we're talking about it, there methods are obviously shitting on rio. The problem is, they cant track bots, all it is is simple, no frills, notepad code. They have to get a trigger, usually a report, Sorry to say, these bots will never stop. As there is no efficient way to track who has a malicious notepad running.

That is way to much of a oversimplification of what is going on behind the scenes. And I thought I was the one that usually butchers my viewpoints by oversimplifying things into the dirt. XD

But I do agree that if Riot continues to ignore the root cause of the problem, the problem will persist.

It's not a noob trap to have a efficient account just for aram, an account that only contains the champions that a player is proficient in and that have an advantage unique to that game mode. If you can fill a roster of 70+ champions this way then well, props to you, but I doubt most people either aren't as proficient in so many, or maybe just can't afford them.

You do know why people make aram accounts right? It's exactly to get rid of the "noob trap" that a "my first account" is. When a player is brand new to the game he doesn't know shit about shit, and so begins his magical journey to discover what the game has to offer for him, along his way he will make many a poor decision and buy champions that look really cool but play like shit, or champions that are fun to play but due to the nature of their kit are just not very viable in some game modes. And other various reasons to end up with champions he don't really want but just don't have the heart to get removed from his account. So instead he makes a new account, this will be his aram account, where he only unlocks the champions he intents to use on aram, and he will rejoice for now no longer will all those awful mistakes haunt him when he plays a random game mode. So that rerolls only have to be used on weekly rotation champs instead of also his aspects of his own champion pool.

It's not a noob trap, its more like having an efficient tool that you only use for one thing, because that tool works a lot better then some general purpose tool.

Sadly this is the only realistic option we have, because Riot won't give us some means of black/white listing champions we intent to use for aram.

i dont think you listened fully, there are 14 free week champs, owning 14 "aram" only champs still gives you only 50% chance of rolling something you own..................................... And there arent even 14 champs that are aram bonecrushers... more like 2

Ive done the math, you want a larger pool of champs than people think for it to be an effective aram account.

Have a low champ pool, you will play free week 3/4 of the time and never get re-rolls, my aram acount gets a reroll every other game, with an extremely low chance of getting a champ whos bad in aram.

EFFECIENT ARAM ONLY ACCOUNTS DONT EXIST BROTHA, IM SORRY BUT ITS NOT THE MOST OPTIMAL WAY TO GO ABOUT IT NO MATTER HOW GOOD OF AN IDEA IT SOUNDS LIKE!!!!

Nobody is getting sona/ziggs every game, and hell, the people trying to make aram only accounts dont even realize whats good

A true aram only account should strive for sona/ziggs every game.

And its not going to happen with a free rotation of FOURTEEN champs.

It's actually quite a substantial group of champions that are good in ARAM.

There's about 23 of these what you call bonecrushers who all sport absurd win rates of 68% and above.

There are about 67 or so OP champions, if we're going by this list for example, I don't know how old that information is, I just pulled an old link out of my ass. But it should be obvious that it's not just about which champions are super OP. The general rule is if you fill your account with champions from the below average section or worse, you're going to have a bad time in ARAM. Because it doesn't matter if you get a free rotation champion or just a bad champion from your own pool, you're gonna have to reroll.

I never suggested owning only 14 champions. I don't know where you got that number from, I've never seen anyone advocate such a low number of champions on these boards. Anyone who knows how to count can tell you it's better to own more champions rather then fewer champions, but that is just a general rule due to the inclusion of the weekly free rotation champions and the silly reroll charge system. It helps to keep a lean account of only champions that are good in ARAM in order to boost your chances of winning.

This is because even though there are about 67 OP champs, chances are a person hasn't mastered all of them, which means that even though they are OP he will still suck with them. So its better not to have those on his account because he can't count on trades. How many champions he cuts from his pool is up to individual people.

So I really don't think people need to worry about ARAM only accounts being a trap.
