What I'm unclear on is when the needle moves. My assumption is if I'm playing Shen, getting an S today is not the same as getting an S a year ago. Fine. But is there an adjustment to that? Or does it stay at the highwater mark?

Kaioko1 votesIt compares you to the average of the players playing that champion in that role. This gets refreshed every patch (occasionally every other) so yes you're right -- the criteria you're compared to continuously changes.
