Its time to make crit adcs viable in other roles too

You know, champs like ashe, caitlyn, jinx and most of the adc champ pool (specially crit adcs) are unplayable outside of the adc bot lane role, yet they are getting kicked out of bot by mages and other champs, while the same mages can play in almost every other position in the game that isnt jungle?

If you think thats great then how about making it so jinx can actually top lane? Dont you want diversity? Then make all of those champs viable solo laners so they have somewhere to play when mages are taking over bot lane.

Or just realise how bad of an idea was to bring double mages down to bot lane and kick them out and lower the damage creep by letting enchanter supports play the game again with crit adcs and we get a more balanced game with less damage overall on teams.

The sad part is that the mages that fit a more traditional marksmen style and scale up for the mid-late game like Azir Ryze Viktor are nowhere to be found after these "diversity changes", because the only ones people put down there are Heimerdinger Neeko gimmicky cheesy mages who's purpose is to stomp early and make the lane cancer. Mages that would make the lane more interesting and diverse without bringing cancerous laning phases won't bother going bot to farm safer with a support because the supports they're gonna find are just gonna be mages Brand and assassins Pyke killing each other and everything, while the ADCs not named Lucian and Draven run around looking for scraps of CS and praying for lane to end. If I was an Azir main I'd stay mid too, smh.

I fought a Neeko Pyke bot lane today. Kill me.

Well it'd be only fair but than they would be crying about the same thing we been dealing with.

Diversity in this game has clearly made it better right and not just more cancerous and just not fun to play in general?

if i can take amumu mid and just stack hp while building armlet Against a assassin i should be able to take adcs top lane and build blade of the ruined king and black cleaver and have fun against a bruiser while they hate their life. just like i hate my life in botlane because every lane match up theres a single mage who makes it hard to even last hit and play the role Brand

Maybe it's time that you realized that adc's already can do everything you mentioned. Also the mages in that lane aren't great at beating the solo laners, which is why they moved to support. You aren't going to tell everyone that they shouldn't be played since you haven't found a way to deal with them. There's a trick to last hitting. Once you learn it you know why champs like brand don't go into pro play. So the real question is where's the gap from pro players to us :D. Why is it so substantial that it's not a big enough problem to them.

ADCs are playable mid, and a few even jg.

Lucian is an extremely unhealthy and anti-fun mid laner, same as Twitch/Kai'Sa in the jungle.

Vayne/Lucian/Quinn top lane are all horrible to play against as well.

They should stay bot where they belong. ADCs are not being forced out of bot lane by mages, this is just bias. Look at the play rates of mages bot lane, then seriously reconsider your post.

The last thing Top lane needs is more ranged champions. The immobile hyper carry ADC's you are mentioning just needs Enchanters to be buffed.

Crit adcs aren't played because current itemization balance favors adcs like Lucian/Ezreal. It's nothing to do with mages.

The way league is right now, I don't think this is possible without putting them on par with the usual lane bully adcs and then bumping up the bar for the adcs that we see regularly winning botlane right now.

The only way to make crit adcs more open to every lane is to not only make crit adcs more diverse with their actual kits, but also have crit builds scale more linearly so they don't just get pooped on because they just started building crit after their first back or 2. (have lower scaling on crit items ofc and tweak the adcs themselves to have a better late game if they are intended to have a good late game, with things like atk speed growth stats and steroid tweaks and such)

They need to function less as a generic class and more as individual champions, instead they are champions who just want to get to late game because they build crit.

The most notable exceptions we have are Jhin and Draven both build crit , both can function perfectly well independently and they fall under that (win lane) category, if the bar was raised for other adcs, the bar has to be raised for them too if they are to continue to have a strong laning phase and bully the others as intended (Main thing to be afraid of here is seeing them doing TOO well to the point where they can bully most champions toplane)

As a top laner, HELL NO. Every year I get to play against mages top lane and now you want adc to be played in other roles? Haha. No.

Riot will sure put them top and not mid because for riot and mid laners, mid is a sacred ground where no other class of champions other than mages and assassins should be there. I know that Irelia is not actually designed for mid, but she fits there because she is an assassin and they want her out anyway.

Vayne has a top lane page on OP.GG, just saying. Saying that these champs CANNOT be played there is purely BS. You haven't tried it, have you? No because you want a support with you. I occasionally bring Caitlyn top. She has ways to protect herself, can bully most top laners quite easily(Irelia might be a problem, but you can put traps in front of you to keep her from dashing in on you). I've also brought guinsoos on hit Vayne top vs tanks. Quinn has pretty much ALWAYS been played top lane. Perhaps the people complaining here just don't want to adapt to another lane, and that's fine. ADCs are still being played bot. Let's not also forget that there have been metas where ezreal has been played jungle, Twitch has been played jungle, Kogmaw has been played jungle, Lucian has been played mid lane, etc.

Moral of the story: If you want these champions to be available in top lane, all you have to do is bring them there and try it out. Most champions who have self peel should work top lane.
