How do you actually lane against Illaoi

Seriously how do you even lane against this tentacle lady. Unless you’re a ranged champ you can’t go for cs because she uses her E and takes half your hp bar with it. It’s also pretty much impossible to even trade because of her raw damage from her Q and her healing that she gets whenever a tentacle hits you. Even when she ults running away is kinda hard because something slows you idek what it is.

Also since we’re on the topic, can we do something about the hitbox of her E? Seriously you may as well make it point-and-click considering how it doesn’t even hit your champion half the time but still registers and boom you have to recall again. It’s really misleading and annoying you guys need to do something about that.

illaoi doesn't have much usefulness in her kit except for her e if she doesn't hit you with the e you need to punish her there and then

q's also a skillshot she's required to hit a champion with for healing/dmg

r you can just walk away from

Dodge E = free trade for long time R= without E, R Is quite useless W= without R Is quite useless Q= good for harass, quite bad for trade Anyway usually u can't really win lane vs a good illaoi (if u are not Ranged), but her will be a shit after 25-30 Min, so np if u can't snowball early game, just don't feed, help ranged in your team and it's fine TL;dr Don't let her hard push, try to stay in mid of your lane

Dodge E and she's useless. If you're not willing to contend with her, you may as well let her push. Standing in your minion wave is your best option here. You standing there will bait her to Tentacle Smash you and the wave, thus starting a push. You can then farm under your tur once you've given up control. In that position, Illaoi's E's will be significantly easier to dodge since she has to stay far back if she doesn't want tower aggro. It's also her E that slows you. Killing your ghost is the requirement for the slow and tentacles to appear.

Try playing with Yorick vs illoai Yorick can pretty much harras her all the time with his little kids.

You live and outscale.

You live by dodging E, which is easy as hell if you don't sit still and stay behind minions. Maybe get a cloth armor for lane phase.

You outscale her by default as a majority of the top lane roster. It doesn't matter if she gets full waves and you only get half under tower, the gold is more useful on you than on her, as long as you didn't pick Panth or something. And your team doesn't stack for ult.

On that note it's EXTRA important to try to keep track of her flash, as Illaoi flash R can wipe you if you stack even slightly.
