One way to stop ADCs from abusing lethality

Make lethality's pen only apply on spells. It can still provide AD. This still makes it good on assassins but does weaken them somewhat between cooldowns so potential buffs could be explored but it also doesn't change its intention: strong vs squishies, bad vs tanks. This reaffirms the ladder while preserving the former. And let's be honest, AD assassins do have an unfair advantage of not being weak between cooldowns whereas AP assassins generally are. Then again, most AP assassins build lichbane so there goes that. I dunno, just thinking out loud. Thoughts?

or, accept that lethality is for spellcasters, and some adcs are spellcasters making them legit lethality users, and balance those adcs around lethality with kit changes

beside, which adc is a problem with lethality right now except jhin/mf, stat wise?

If she's building Lethality then she is an assassin lol. The Lethality ADC's would be battle mages (if short ranged) or simply AD mages (Jhin).

That's simply not true unless it's both lategame, you're a glass cannon, and she's full Lethality.

In all my experience with Quinn (mastery lvl 7, and I don't bother upgrading champions I don't like), I have never once gotten to 800 movespeed until lvl 16 (rank 3 ult), and I have never killed anyone with E+auto, or even auto+E+auto.

I dunno, I don't really find lethality to be a problem at all aside from duskblade before it was nerfed. Tanks are super good right now. But it has been prone to abuse in the past by ranged ADCs, so I simply wonder if the is an avenue to explore in the future.

I just dont find ADC, well Marksman abusing lethality. A few of them use it, but that is about it. I dont seem them dominating like the assassin update on the lethality. I just see them getting by.

I'm not saying they don't use spells but lethality isn't really intended for them either. ADCs literally got lethality nerfed in the first place last time.

lethality just as flat armor pen use to be always will be better on AD casters (including RANGED AD CASTERS ) they arent looking to auto you to death... they are looking to hit you with spells, on hit effects

cait ,jinx, trist , who are auto attack based crit champs arent really abusing lethality ... its jihn,lucian, mf who are caster type based champs.

This is a bad idea because AD assassins usually use autos for about half their damage, for example Kha and Rengar (if we're still counting him) use at least 2-3 autos. Talon not so much due to his heavy ability focus, and same with Zed lategame, but early on Zed should auto his target at least twice if played properly.
