Ok Riot. I give up. You win.

I can't do this anymore. My ranking isn't on my shoulders anymore. I just cant do this.

Every single game. Every one. Has apes in it. Feeders, wreckless playing, even some I just plain don't get. Their thought process is just so insane I just don't get it.

I'll get teammates that want to contest dragon while they have baron, 2 guardian angels, and we only have 3 people. And yet, while I say this is a bad idea and LEAVE to do something else, they will COMMENT ON IT, saying "useless guy wont come contest" and then GO IN ANYWAY. They FULLY ACKNOWLEDGE they will lose and STILL DO IT. I DON'T GET IT.

Even the games where it LOOKS like I'm feeding. Take this 7/10 Jhin game for example. What REALLY happened is I got partnered with a Ziggs support with literally zero lane pressure and spammed laugh outside exp range. I got killed a couple times (3 to 4) and played safe and DIDNT DIE for the next 20 minutes. Other lanes fed too. Except I played correctly, and got kills, turrets, farm, gold, and midway through the game I was actuall around 5/3, things looking pretty good!

Then the lane phase ends, and I have to put up with the other lanes who got fed. So despite me playing correctly and coming back in my own respect, I die because they were fed. Leading to a score of 7/10 because we are grouped and lose multiple fights. This gives the ILLUSION i'm feeding.

90% of the games are like this. And when the 10% rolls around where I actually feed, I take that L, My teammates get angry, and I understand, I don't fight back.

But I can't do this anymore.

No amount of fed toxic champions will get me out of this grave. I could e a 13/0 Yasuo or Leblanc, my teammates will still feed and do stupid shit and lose the game. I genuinely, CANNOT DO THIS ANYMORE.

I hate it. I don't want to use dynamic queue. I want to prove that I got my rank, not someone else. I want to prove that I'm a good player. I do my job, I do it well, but no amount of ganks bottom or rift wardens top stops them for doing stupid shit.

So you win Riot. You win. I can't do this.

easy answer: DONT PLAY RANKED!

from what i could tell by reading this is that you don't have the capacity to deal with ranked games, stick to norms where it doesn't matter if you win or lose

Oh I can deal with Ranked games. I can't deal with the 20+ loss streaks from stupid people.

Come back after 24 hours? Still feeders.

I agree that there are 2 ways to deal with it.

  1. Don't play ranked

  2. Que in a group and you won't have feeders/trolls unless you choose to group with them. There are so many posts of people looking for groups.

Got news for ya mate. The problem... is you. Its your play, your game knowledge, your communication and team organization abilities, your role selection, and your own management of your MMR. Its not exclusively your teammates. YES, on occasion you will have some moron(s) you just cannot make up for, that's part of the nature of the game. It happens. It is NOT the reason you are failing to climb.

You play an amazing hecarim, who happens to be op as balls right now, better than 60% win rate, a 3:1 kda, you seem to be able to carry on him and you seem to play a strong team oriented style on him. Yet you only have 13 games on him in 330 some odd total matches. Pick your pony, stay with it.

You play all sorts of roles all the time. You don't stick with what you are good at and you don't stick with roles that have strong map influence so that you can assert your abilities and impact the game while organizing your team. Pick your role and stick with it. No more playing all 5. Stick to jungle. Nothing else. Dodge if you have to, LP means nothing, only MMR matters.

Your kill participation is around 40%. That means that while you do contribute with the team frequently, you are also NOT on the same page as the whole team often enough to consistently win games. You need to be working WITH your team MORE often and get that figure up around 50% minimum. Stop doing your own thing in game. Pick a plan, pick a strategy and stick with it and execute it with your team. Don't wait on THEM to make one, your teammates are idiots. YOU make the plan, YOU be a pleasant and positive force and get them on YOUR page so that everyone is working together in harmony.

Me. Some smurf I made just to see if I can hit diamond one tricking eve faster than I did it last season. You see the difference? I'll be diamond in a month or two, and I PLACED the account higher than you are ranked right now. The issue is the things you are doing. Not your teammates. When your sample size is as large as yours is the problem lies in something YOU are doing YOURSELF. Yes, you will lose the occasional game with no answer because teammates sucked. Over a large enough sample size your skill becomes a more important factor than bad luck.

I can agree with this on multiple factors. Yes, I play every role. I find it incredibly boring to play one thing repeatedly. I can pick up literally anything and do my job just fine after just one game. Even champions I have NEVER PLAYED BEFORE, I see play often enough that I know what to do, and a simple adaptation of mechanics after about 30 minutes of use gets me into full gear. Yes, I get that not every role can singlehandedly win a game. I get that a Sona may not be able to carry, or a Garen can't win the game. It sucks but it's true.

But it's out of my hands now. I can play hecarim 24/7 and have all the gold in the world, nothing about that will allow my bot lane to make correct decisions and take turrets, dragons, knowing when to harass, and just good mechanics. No amount of double or triple kills in that lane will make them any better players, and that's just the issue.

If we have a prime moment to take baron and push for a free inhibitor, no amount of my "shot calling" is going to stop them from recalling, taking wraiths, and running off to do stuff and let me down.

Every now and again I find people on the same page, but more often than not theres at least 1 or 2 people that aren't, and that's what kills games. No amount of fed top and mids is going to stop that clueless 3/17 bot from feeding and having poor positioning. I can't stop that, they don't listen. Nobody does. Nobody is open to learning in this game anymore.

Rank difference and knowledge is a huge issue, people with less experience in the game as me wont see why things are mistakes, or for what reason, or where they should be at what time. THEIR experience in the game will tell them something different, so to THEM I'm WRONG. They wont even notice my mistakes at higher level. Nobody at this level will chew you out if the enemy jungle gets a level 2 gank bottom, and you don't take their top buff. Because that's what you SHOULD do. The enemy jungler has shown that they haven't put vision on that camp, hasn't cleared it, and is on the other side of the map and can't contest it.

NOT punishing him by counterganking/stealing the buff/ganking a different lane IS a high level mistake, but nobody will call you out on that because they don't know.

But they will also do things wrong that they don't know is wrong, and assume it's hostile when you call them for it because they don't know it's a mistake.

Nobody in this game is open to learning. I've played this game for, sadly, about a fourth of my life (19 years old). I know what's right and what's wrong. But nobody listens. That's the problem.

No, you CANNOT play all those champs well and it SHOWS. The stats don't lie mate. They can only tell the truth. Numbers are incapable of lying. Even I, myself, CANNOT do what you describe. I play maybe 2 or 3 things at a high diamond level. That's it. I can TRY to play other things, and I might hold my own, but I will never be the reason a team wins if I'm playing Zed, or Lee Sin. I am NOT good enough at those things to play them consistently well. You certainly aren't able to either. Stick to the things YOU are good at, play nothing else in ranked.

But it's out of my hands now. I can play hecarim 24/7 and have all the gold in the world, nothing about that will allow my bot lane to make correct decisions and take turrets, dragons, knowing when to harass, and just good mechanics. Its not out of your hands and you are flat out wrong here. On occasion, yes, some idiot will refuse to listen. MORE OFTEN THAN NOT, however, if you are playing your best, doing well, and consistently showing you have good leadership and shot calling abilities players will NATURALLY gravitate toward your decision making process. Are you pinging the whereabouts of all the enemy champs and wards all game long? Are you making decisive calls with pings and chat that lead to objectives? Are you keeping your team organized about what to fight for when and where? Players will naturally follow some one who does these things. Its not even a conscious decision. They just do it naturally.

If we have a prime moment to take baron and push for a free inhibitor, no amount of my "shot calling" is going to stop them from recalling, taking wraiths, and running off to do stuff and let me down.

It can and it will. Most of the time. Not always, but enough that the idiots who cost you the occasional game won't even matter. Who cares if you lose one game out of 7? 3 games out of 15? 20 games out of 100? Those idiots don't factor into your ranking in the end. They only cost themselves ranking and made one game annoying for you to play. Make your teammates better by being a better teammate yourself.

I NEVER find people on the same page. Like. Ever. I have to gel and build chemistry with them for 10 or 15 minutes and then they see that I know what I'm doing and they ELECT to get on my page because I have an 80% win rate and must be doing something right. This is something you need to start learning to do. Building chemistry in game so people will want to follow you because you are a good leader. That is a skill too, one measured by the system (albeit in a really stupid and idiotic way, but hey, Riot doesn't listen to me about how to make the system function properly, hasn't for years.) and its a skill you will need to acquire if you want to climb.

Rank difference and knowledge is a huge issue, people with less experience in the game as me wont see why things are mistakes, or for what reason, or where they should be at what time. THEIR experience in the game will tell them something different, so to THEM I'm WRONG. They wont even notice my mistakes at higher level. Its not about the players you are playing with knowing things. They are scrubs. They are. You are 100% right about this. Guess what? It doesn't matter. I carry scrubs all day long with no issue. I know what to do so I will make sure I GIVE them that information so THEY do what I know needs to be done.

NOT punishing him by counterganking/stealing the buff/ganking a different lane IS a high level mistake, but nobody will call you out on that because they don't know.

See above.

But they will also do things wrong that they don't know is wrong, and assume it's hostile when you call them for it because they don't know it's a mistake.

You have to be constructive with your chat and criticism. "God dammit wtf are you idiots fighting for without me! It was a damn 4v5, ofc you lost you dumbasses!" inspires no one and is counterproductive. "LMOA wow, you guys went MAD ham on them fools. Too bad ya lost that fight, next time lemme join in the fun and we can stick it to em!" inspires players to follow your lead.

Nobody in this game is open to learning. I've played this game for, sadly, about a fourth of my life (19 years old). I know what's right and what's wrong. But nobody listens. That's the problem.

If no one in this game was open to learning then why do I find new people in silver to teach the game to and turn them into Diamond players in a single season EACH and EVERY season? That's clearly not the true at all. Every student of mine has wound up diamond within 8 months of becoming a student. Every. One. 100%. And these guys were LOW SILVER when I met them, without exception. Low silver, frustrated, acting JUST like you in this thread. They said all the same nonsense. Now they are all diamond. Why? Because they ARE open to learning and improving, but being a teacher, a proper one, ain't easy.

Again, follow what I have laid out for you so far, follow those 3 tidbits I gave you earlier. Play 50 games and adhere to them ABSOLUTELY without deviation. Tell me how many of those 50 games you win. I'll bet you manage 30 of 50.

I'll play with you if you aren't absolutely horrible. Dynamic queue makes me want to play ranked.

though I'd prefer a full team.. I'd like to be the midlaner on an actual team.

I'd rather play with 4 bronze trash players willing to get lessons than solo my way to diamond or beyond.

but seriously.. you're literally surrounded by thousands of ppl who play the game on this forum. If you play on a team it doesn't particularly matter what rank they are if you are willing to practice with them

the wonderful thing about DQ is that those who are willing to team up and practice will move ahead while toxic people unwilling to do what they have to to get ahead get left behind with the trash

I am, I'm just not playing ranked. There's no reason to do so if you're just going to have to struggle to raise your MMR regardless.

At the end of the day

you will be matched based off wins and losses either way. You will get trolled either way. You will encounter stupid people either way.

Based off the provisionals I never finished the only thing really challenging about getting started in ranked is a disproportionate amount of getting stuck with bullshit in your early stages. I see no reason to go through that again unless i'm leveling a new account.

The amount of ass kissing in this thread is incredible. League's Ranked experience is a burning shitpile that Riot is constantly dousing in fuel and garbage. Defenders of it are living in a fantasy world.

To the OP: Find a different mode and play for fun. Nothing you can get from Ranked is worth the trouble. You didn't give up. Riot did. Riot gave up on all solo queuers.

There is no question that ranked is complete garbage and totally lacks competitive integrity since riot introduced DQ. We ALL know this is a fact. The quality of the pairings has diminished so considerably that its laughable.

It doesn't change the fact that the problem OP is having in terms of climbing are his OWN individual actions in game and in lobby. As bad as this game is, as terrible as Riot has made it, players like myself still have no issue climbing the ladder. The worst thing one can do is pander to the OP and prevent him from thinking critically about the mistakes he is consistently making.

That's horse shit and you fucking know it. The OP might've exaggerated how often it happens, but EVVVVEEERRRRYYYYOOONNNNEEEEE who plays this games faces the SAAAAAAMMMMMEEEEE problems from AFKs, toxicity, throws, feeders, and general fucktards. To say "Oh, you should've done thisthisttthisandthis" is NOT an answer. It can't be mitigated by player action. This is a system problem, this is a problem for Riot, and so far their answer has been to tell us to play more games, hoping ignorantly that all the bad shit will somehow average out after some undetermined amount of games.

The problem is, with every patch, with every change to the game, with every variable added, the number of games needed to find that normalization increases.

It IS a systemic problem, but that doesn't explain why diamond players like myself have next to no issues regardless of the changes now does it?

The answer for that conundrum is simple. I am doing something, somehow, to be more successful. Its not just one thing either. Its an entire series of things from the way I manage my MMR and only play matches where I know I have been paired well (using op.gg for each of your teammates is your best friend in lobby) to the way I stick to the champs and roles I know I can play extremely well, to the way I communicate with and organize my team in game and lobby.

Its NOT just about how you play in the game. There are a thousand little things that matter BEFORE you ever even get onto the Rift. You have to do ALL those right as well if you want to climb consistently.

The problem is, with every patch, with every change to the game, with every variable added, the number of games needed to find that normalization increases.

Yes, and even players like myself bitch about this all the time, non stop, its a fact Riot continues to make the game worse every season. And yet, some how, I still find myself being a diamond player every damn season. Educate yourself on how the systems work so you can avoid the pitfalls and start abusing its flaws to your own advantage.

ELO Hell is real, friends. We're all in it. All of us.

Elo hell is merely a statistical anomaly that occurs when the sample size of games is too small to account for abnormally bad luck in a short time frame. Having 5 afks in 6 matches is SEVERAL standard deviations off of what is normal for your average player, that is abnormally bad luck in a small sample size, THAT is what ELO hell is. Its not what most of the community thinks it is at all.

I don't say these things to show you up. I don't do it to insult you or the op. I say them because I WANT for you to become better players and to have a good time playing this game while achieving your goals. What you choose to do with the information is your own choice. I can only lead you all to the water. Not make you drink it.
