elo hell
first off i am going to say something.. elo hell DOES exist
but not in the way most people define it here
second, right now with dynamic que being the fail that it is. none of this really matters at the memoent becuse ranked means nothing... but for every other season.. and if dynamic que ever goes away.. this post will have meaning
so imagine we are back at a time when ranked meant something... and hear me out
elo hell ISN'T a fix spot.
elo hell is the point where you are JUST below your actual elo and the climb then becomes slower
for example if a player actaully has a plat 3 skill lvl he is going to EASILY be able to carry bronze and silver regardless of teammates, and in the start of gold he can still eaisly carry but one he starts nearing his actaul elo, he no longer can single handedly decide the fate of the game
because lets say he in now in gold 1, most of the players he is playing with are gold 1 on both teams and while he will STILL nearly always win lane, he no longer has such a skill advantage that if his teammates feed he can carry them by himself elo hell is the point where have to play with players below your own skill lvl, but no longer have the ability to carry them if they feed. meaning no matter how well you do, you cant control the outcome of the game by yourself..
yes you will still climb out to your proper rank.. but it will now be painfully slow with you getting losses you don't deserve for reasons out of you control.
a silver 1 player will start to reach elo hell around silver 4 or 3
a gold 3 player will start to reach elo hell around silver 1 or gold 5
and a bronze 3 player.. will ALWAYS be in elo hell becuase he never HAD the skill to solo carry himself out of bronze 5.
myself? i play a lvl silver 2 or 1 and possibly gold 5 on my main (although that might be a bit generous on my part)
so i start to reach elo hell at silver 5 and 4
can i carry myself out of bronze? sure, i have done so 3 times
but even though i might PLAY a a silver 2, 1 or gold 5 level, the amount of pain i have to go through to reach those.. make it.. elo hell
