Is it just me, or does winning the Teemo'ing really suck?

I mean, sure, the mode itself was fun. Lost the first one, learned and won the second. Great.

I just don't get the point of playing it ever again though. There's literally no reward to it. There's no champion mastery grade so you can see if you're improving and get hextech rewards (my main attraction to most of the featured game modes is that I could try out new champions and get my hextech loot via those modes). The IP reward is pathetic (literally 33 IP for the win...).

Maybe the second option will be better. At least with increasing the gauntlet level you can really challenge yourself more and more each time. I feel like a lot of effort went in to the Teemo'ing though, and while it was great for 1 or 2 plays, the replayability factor really isn't there. Which is a shame. There's so much going on in it, but at the end of the day it's just another game of bots that once you've solved how to beat them, that's that.

The mode is directed at ordinary players, so of course there will be people who find it not 'challenging' enough. That's what the Gauntlet is for.

I'm sorry my post wasn't really clear (to be fair I sort of went sideways in to that argument).

Just after the win, a few of my teammates said "what, that's it?" Like, where's the reward? There was no special congratulations even. You literally got 33 IP and that was it. Enough to buy a fifteenth of the cheapest champion in the game?

Maybe there's a new icon unlocked? Not sure - it didn't say anything after the win. My biggest problem is the "no champion mastery" part though. Every other featured game mode was given champion mastery and hextech participation. Why does the ONLY non PVP gamemode not have this? Like, PVE is a MUCH better evaluation of individual skill than a 5v5 PVP game ever will be. You can't evaluate how an individual played a game when an enemy got fed out of control before he hit his power spike. PvE has much more individual control and would have been a great spot to put champion mastery. They didn't have to make it easy, but it should have been there.

The Gauntlet will probably be better. I hope so.

No, it isn't. Bot games don't test most of the skills required to be successful league player. You dont need vision, wave control and they barely dodge stuff. Only thing it tests are how good you are at abusing poor AI.

Not over the course of a weekend. Long term yes, but in a new situation it would be a good measure. And taken as a single game, PvP is worse. There's way more variance in game to game play in PvP - your opponents have as much control over your success as you do.
