Why ADCs hate on their support for not supporting them

We are a packaged deal by design for the most part. ADCs have fucking awful defensive stats, while supports mainly have low offensive stats. Basically, RIOT thought it was a good idea to have 1 effective champion split between 2 players. But they messed it up and let supports still be able to work well without the need of an ADC. Yet ADCs for the most part cant do shit without some help. They need that beefy tank wall, the peal, and the CC/engage to be able to deal damage and not get instantly killed. So when you decide not to support, you make our lives insanely more difficult. Basically we now have to both defend ourselves and play offensively at the same time, on the worst kind of champions to do so with. That is why we get angry with you. We want you to play support so we both can do good. Likely if we are successful, so will you too.

I will give that an up-vote to high heaven in no time.

Played Thresh too many times for me to hook the enemy marksman, reactivate my Q, and my marksmen NOT follow up. Eh. Then I die, feeding them.

Commands part: I love it when a marksmen, sorry-- DPS, tells me to initiate, as if it is that simple. Playing Thresh, I need minions out of the way, who is the enemy supp, where is the enemy jungler? So many times have a DPS said to engage and I shook my head no, it is not the time.

Your support is there to support the team, and the most capable person of carrying.

If that is not you, I have bad news.

This is well written however, as a support player what am I getting for being one half of a packaged deal?

As the ADC, you have limited ability to follow up on plays: limited burst and limited follow up CC to secure kills. Limited ability to zerg a caught opponent and limited ability to change your mind and GTFO when a play goes south.

Instead, what you cherish most is point defense. The ability to keep people off you and stay by your side. To play reactively and match your conservative play style.

so what am I getting out of this? to be excluded from the fun parts of the game?
