I sure did appreciate having him near me as a squishy in an earlier game I had.
I thought I would die on multiple occasions but shen did his job well, and was able to 2v3 on corki with him as my bodyguard and it was awesome.
I could tell just from having an allied shen on my team that he's way more useful now.

But back to you, care to elaborate what you liked? Because I haven't had ANY pleasant shen on my team just yet. Well, maybe one that I have no good or bad comments about.

No ranged poke/sustain. That's huge, not just to whittle down pre-engage, but also in Chase (so many Kills thanks to a final Q to their back as they tried to flee).
Also, he forced Basic Attacks on his old Taunt... new Taunt doesn't force Basic Attacks.
A Good Shen could already win 2v3 Match Ups.
Shen was my Main, a very solid 60%+ Win Rate for me... I'm very worried about this new Shen and not ready to dive in on it just yet.
