Calling it now, Katarina rework will make her Cass 2.0

The new Katarina rework will make her extremely weak and an extremely niche pick, with champs like Yasuo, Akali, and Diana doing her job much better than her. Her winrate will float around 40%, then Riot will be like "We didn't fuck up, we just didn't give her the right numbers". Then they will mess with her kit slightly/her ratios, then make her even more broken than she is on-live. Then she will have one of the highest winrates.

Riot, do you not learn from your mistakes? I think not, for the reason that new Kat will have Old Sion's problem of having an extremely mixed kit, where you will not benefit properly unless you go full AD or full AP, and both are going to be lacking due to not utilizing the other part of the kit properly. Trying to build her hybrid will be like trying to build Kayle hybrid, but MUCH WORSE.

Yet again, calling it now. When I am right, I will archive this thread and email it to Riot everyday. If I am wrong, then may the universe collapse upon itself for allowing the impossible.

I think you're completely correct. The only viable build for damage will be stacking a large amount of AD, leaving her with no CDR, seeing as the only viable AD CDR options are armor pen, which have the funny little feature of not working for magic damage. Tank kat might be a thing with that damage reduction, but sweet jesus pickles why would you want to play a tank with no CC or damage.

I personally have faith in ricklessabandon and Vesh whenever they're in charge of changes. Not a single champion they touched became weaker. Instead they became better and healthier to balance. Plus rickless JUST stated it's a work in progress. It's tentative, subjective to change and more tweaks. He never said it was final. Don't be so eager to jump the gun and pull the trigger until you see the final result.

Also it's not Stashu working on the work, so no it wont be a Cass 2.0 thankfully. ;) Riot needs to keep Stashu far, far away from touching any champions since he lacks responsibility and communication.

No, this just makes it so that she actually has a weak laning phase instead of harassing the crap out of the other laner and picking up a free double kill at bot lane. Played Brand vs her? It's a living nightmare, your gated by mana ( WHICH GOT NERFED SO HARD), while she can spam q,w,e and chunk you for 10% of your Hp at no cost each time. When you're forced to leave lane, double kill at bot. I'd take a Zed that actually has to land his skillshots, or an Akali that is free food for the jungler pre-6 any day over this stupid champion, who's ungankable and has a click-and-point harass.

Champions with reset got hit HARD MasterYi Khazix ( heck even Tristana is getting her AP ratio's nerfed), and yet Pentarina Katarina gets away? Her shunpo is a Blink ( gets over azir wall), instantaneous ( like talon's cuttthroat), and VERY discrete, ( you can see a Kassadin riftwalk miles away, katarina tho? well, good luck keeping your eyes glued to her in teamfights).

Inb4 "Cc her", where was the "CC her" arguement when Talon got nerfed? Or when Khazix got his mid playstyle destroyed? whenLeblanc got gutted?

Now it is true that katarina's ulti is a large part of her damage, but human reaction time is .55 seconds and assuming your CC is on quick-cast, at least ~ 1 second will pass before you interrupt her( 100% AP damage). Which other champion can do their combo that fast? Zed 's death mark just gives away who he ulti'd.

Katarina has the 7th highest win rate for a reason, most other mid lane assasins were hit hard, she's lucky to have survived with just a small duration nerf to her ulti.

Kat is definitely not a "healthy" assassin, too overbearing when fed and easy to come back even when she's oppressed due to the nature of her ulti ( locked on multiple target damage), and an unhealthy assassin deserves nerfs till they're re-worked.
