Malphite and Yasuo have no counter and ruin low elo

God Went MIA··2 votes·1,899 views

There simply isn't counterplay to malphite by himself, and it makes it a complete b**** to play against him, but when it's malphite and yasuo you might as well queue dodge. Sure, you can win, but it's unreasonably harder than anything else in the game to play against. There is no counter for a full tank with a 5 man knock up and 1k damage burst, or a champion with one of the best laning phases, best scalling, and the ability to instantly win any teamfight by pressing R. Ya, we can ban them, but its absurd that we have to have permabans in a game that's been around forever. BS like yasuo should have been ironed out by now.

Rumble and Chogath eat Malphite for breakfast. Zed and Quinn if remotely competent will dismantle Yasuo

Um..not really so sure on that Quinn one. Yasuo excels at fighting ranged auto attackers, and Quinn's big damage source is from her harrier marks.

Xerath is actually a good counter to Yasuo once you get good with him. He has only one thing that Windwall can block, and you have more then enough range to stay away from him

I agree any long range mage is good against him; Xerath, Morgana, Lux, who can harass at a distance. The reason Quinn does well is when he goes in, you can Q him, kite away, then E again and he'll be dead if you're keeping up harass.

Yasuo is also one of those champions that seems to always push his lane. I religiously gank a Yasuo whenever I jungle.

man i use pantheon against yasuo from the jungle always works

Well Xerath in particular. Lux's damaging spells (except for ult) can be windwalled, as well as Morgana's snare. Xerath only has his stun which is blockable

Like, I don't know, not grouping up so tightly that they get a 5 man ultimate?

Taking the initiative with your own team of dive fighters which both separates your team from Malphite's AOE and threatens the shit out of Yasuo?

Not playing one of the champs Yasuo or Malphite naturally counter and perceiving it as Yasuo and Malphite thus have no counters?

Seriously at this point the only reason why some champs are strong is because other people keep playing exactly into their strengths.

Irelia is strong against both. Has trouble with malph sometimes, but not much. She also has a moderately low skill floor.

I always found Yasuo fairly easy to play against. I get much more frustrated vs a Zed/Talon. I like to go Corki into Yas mid. It might seem like Yas counters Corki, and I guess he does in a way, but I find it easy to play around the counter. Poke him down with AA's. Once you get sheen you can burst him down easily. Just dodge tornado and when he puts up the windwall, W to change the angle and punish him.

If you have problem VS Zed, it's probably because you can't dodge skillshots, or does not respect Zed's burst. If you have problem with Talon...well, he's probably just better at the game than you. Talon honestly doesn't have good matchups, and he's usually the one who has to try to survive when the two laners have equal skill. Losing to him probably means that you missed a crucial skillshots, and then allowed him to jump on you while your spells were on CD. Or you died to a gank, which is even more your fault.

Or some people just naturally arent good at certain matchups..... No need to be a complete a-hole.

I'm just not good vs Zed naturally. I would have to practice against him to get good vs. him. Same with Talon. They are just champs that I don't naturally have a feel for.

I don't see how I was a complete a-hole, but to each man his own. I thought I was just telling you what you're doing wrong versus the champions you mentioned in hopes that you could improve your gameplay. To be fair, though, this community does tend to have very thin-skinned people, so I don't blame you.

It tends to have passive-aggressive a-holes too, so you fit right in.

I'd rather be direct. He challenged you on your view, and you took offense to it and acted like a typical disgusting league brat. He wasnt passive aggressive you were just being a child.

I thought I challenged his gameplay when I pointed out what he probably did wrong that caused him to consistently perform poorly against Zed and Talon. I main Talon and play some Zed, so I told him how my laners usually die to me. Guess I didn't word it gently enough for his broken spirit, lol.

God of Bagels1 votes

Did I say I perform poorly? I just said get frustrated playing them. You just assumed something and said "oh you must be bad". I do fine against Zed/Talon, I just find them frustrating to lane against compared to Yas (since we are talking about mid lane AD assassins).

What I said applies as long as you're having trouble against those two champions. Again, if you want to see advices as insults, it's your legal right to do so. I'm just saying that it wasn't supposed to be hurtful or scornful, but genuine, helpful tips to counterplay the champions you hate so much.

God of Bagels1 votes

Great advice. "Dodge skill shots". Is there any champ where you just want to eat their skill shots?

"If you have trouble vs Talon he is just better than you". Insane advice.

For Zed, if you know what you need to improve on, and you are as good a player as the enemy Zed, you should not be bothered by him at all. It may be obvious, but it's something that you're evidently failing to do.

For Talon, I elaborated on how you were outplayed immediately after "If you have trouble vs Talon he is just better than you." I've always thought that knowing what I did wrong would help me avoid that mistake, so I point out to you what you did wrong in case you don't already know it.

Dude, you seriously daft.

Did anyone order a Splitpush??

if they take a yas malph combo you take a trundle or somthing splitpusher and every time they want to do mid you take a turret or 2 keep other 2 lanes pushed and the 4 others don't group up and don't engage

Hayaishi21 votes

Yeah Malphite makes playing Yasuo faceroll. I wouldn't call it free elo, but still pretty damn bullshit to play against.
