I need tips for playing Swain

Everyone keeps saying he is busted and OP but I don't see it.

What items should I be building and is good on him?

When it comes to laning, I usually run out of mana pretty quickly and have a terrible time farming under tower.

Finally, any any good/ advanced tips and tricks I can use would be really appreciated

item 3027 for sustain and damage -- item 3001 a good, tankier alternative item 3151 for burn and increasing damage in fights (particularly with ult) item 3285 for poke boost -- item 3030 is a good alternative if you need a extra slow item 3135 for if you are ahead and if the enemy builds mr item 3157 item 3102 good items to combo with ult, depending on what kind of burst they have item 3065 tanky item good to increase sustain and counter some magic users That's all I could think of. Rabadon's is typically too much trouble to build.... Also, if you are having mana trouble, try focusing using your Q on (multiple) low health minions.

visage is garbage simply because you get more healing simply from building AP. banshee's is just better tbh.

Not entirely true; Swain's passive restores health based on max health, so spirit visage not only boosts the healing directly with it's passive (both from Swain's flock, ult and from a catalyst item) but also indirectly by building health to increase healing from the passive. In reality, it could go either way.

Huzzy is a British YouTuber who plays a lot of Swain recently. I highly recommend looking up his videos. He's high diamond right now.

First, don't listen to that guy. Nothing he said is correct. New Swain isn't a drain tank, like old Swain was. He's a burst/control mage. As such, you want burst mage items. Luden's is his typical first item, with Morellonomicon, Zhonya's Hourglass, Deathcap, etc. Basically what you would build on Annie or Taliyah.

I usually start with E Build item 3285 first and build item 3802 from it first for the mana regen. After some fashionable item 3020 Start building item 3027 Than item 3151 Than item 3089 Than item 3165 or More CDR I can't remember the items name This is for midlane!!
